Re: Aharon Williams Project 2 Final

Hi Aharon - Both sites came out really well. My favorite is the redesign you created for Valley Aquatics. It has such nice flow, and everything fits together like it belongs. I think you could bump up the body copy font size one or two clicks, but otherwise it's super nice.

Re: Project Two - Donna Harn

Hi Donna - I think both of your sites turned out really well. You kept it simple, and it's very strong in its simplicity. Your color choices are extremely good, as is your use of photographs, which is a serious talent of yours. The only thing that's throwing me a little is the font on your portal pa...

Project 2 Final (Rebecca Baumann)

Here is the link to my portal: http://grc175.com/student/spring_2013/rebecca_baumann/ There are two places on the Pot of Gold website where I need to put in forms (for ordering and emailing the company), but I wasn't able to figure out how to make them in time for this deadline. It's something I'm g...

Re: Project2 Prelim (Rachel Mosley)

Hi Rachel - I'm confused... is this your own work, or is it the original website? They almost look identical.

If this is your rough, then my advice is to take this in a totally different direction, and really own it. Right now it's just way too close to the original design.

Re: Project 2 (preliminary) Jenny Breitrick

Hi Jenny - You're right, ALL of the school's websites are butt ugly. I also listed my kid's school site as a possible for this project. I'm actually having a hard time choosing between your concepts, because I like them both a lot. The first one feels more like a summer camp site, so perhaps I'd go ...

Re: Dylan Bivens Proj 2 Preliminary

Hi Dylan - I think the redesign for Chris's Guitars would be more fun. For the homepage I'd pick out one awesome guitar and really blow it up and make it the focal point of entry. Then I think what you have in your rough would work for an interior page, listing the guitars with photos (how on earth ...

Re: Aharon Williams Project 2 preliminary roughs

Hi Aharon - The second concept is truly spectacular. The way you've overlapped different objects here and there is what's really pulling it all together for me. Really nice job. I can't think of any improvements off the top of my head.

Re: Project 2 Roughs - Donna Harn

Hi Donna - There are so many great things working in both of your concepts, but I do like the first set best. Your header and footer areas are clean and elegant, while the photo in the middle is exactly the kind of stunning image that this stupid website should focus on (sorry, I had to rant a littl...

Re: Nicole Hicks, Project Two Preliminary

Hi Nicole - It's impossible not to be drawn to the image of the horse. It's definitely the most dynamic part of your design, paired with the diagonal lines. I'd try another typeface for the masthead though... the current one looks squished. I'd also play around with the background in the content are...

Re: Jose Nunez Project 2

Hi Jose - Your first set is really speaking to me. I'm so impressed how you've made those white glows leap off the dark background, and I think it's working well. My only beef is the floating man. I think he needs something to stand on, but I like how you've masked him out from whatever background h...
