Re: Project 2 Roughs
Hi Dustin - Wow, what a cool website to redo. Great idea. I agree with you, the North Pole sign is cute, but it's almost TOO cute. It looks child-friendly, and not very grown up. Cool idea though. I definitely like the warmer, more adult design, and I think that if we could see more of the beer glas...

Re: Project 2 Preliminary Work
Hi Brian - I wish I could see the original (I'm just curious as to how it looks now), but I like what you've done so far. I think the blue color makes total sense, and you've chosen some really nice shades. I like how you've used the photos in your first layout, but I feel like the home page needs s...

Re: mark pederson first roughs project two
Hi Mark - I think your use of color in both designs is absolutely wonderful. I think you've hit the mood of the target audience perfectly. I like your first layout the best, and all you'd need to add are some ears curling up out of the tub to match the nose. That is just too cute, and wonderfully cr...

Re: C.J.Norris_project2drafts
Hi CJ - I think you've chosen a tough one here, because their current site isn't all that bad, although I agree that it could be more interesting. To make this work, I'd suggest staying away from a monochromatic color scheme. I don't think it provides enough interest in this case. I think you need s...

EK - I think your concept is fantastic. I love the vintage photo paired with the current family. You might try giving the vintage pic a slight blue wash, or use another color in your design to tie it in a little better. That's the only part about it that's throwing me off a little.

Re: project ywo layouts
Hi Juan - I really like the direction you're going in both of your concepts. But oh no, their logo is so terrible! I'd consider redesigning it or just getting rid of it, because otherwise it's going to 'uglify' your beautiful design. That teal green is a gorgeous color, and the photographs you're us...

Re: Justin Hubert Project 2
Hi Justin - I like how you went big with your second homepage concept, and its definitely my favorite. That's a really nice composition, and it makes a great statement for a first time viewer. I'm wondering if you can use color to add more energy to the design. When I think of fitness, I want to get...

Re: Project 2 roughs
Hi Jeremy - The navigation is really dominant in both of your roughs, and if you want to make it that big, then I think it needs to be really interesting, and for that reason I'm liking your second set of roughs more. I like how you've incorporated a picture into the button, and it does a good job s...

Re: Project 2 layouts
Hi Campbell - Both of your roughs have strong visual impact, but I'm liking the first one more for a couple of reasons. First, I'm getting more of a construction-vibe from it, which I assume is the nature of the company, and two, I like how you've made room for just the right amount of content. It g...

Re: PrOject TwO
Hi Martin - I think your second set of roughs has some really strong elements working for it, and it's the one I want to look at, hands down. The layout you've designed really pushes the boundaries, and it's so far from boring that I want to give you major props for coming up with something so bold....
