Re: project1_final_layout
Hi Juan - I think you've got some good ideas working here, but it needs to be tightened up in a few places. On the header, the TMCC logo, GRC 175 and Spring 2013 all feel like they're floating around independently. I'd play around with the sizes and opacities of each element to get them to feel like...

Re: mark pederson final design project one
Hi Mark - The composition and color scheme in the photo are just dynamite. I like how you've used the arrows to direct your text and menu options, but I'd get rid of the extraneous arrows that are floating around in the background. They just distract me. And no, I still don't like the green and red ...

Re: Nicole Hicks, Project One Final
Hi Nicole - I think the framework you've built does a much better job organizing the information than your first concept. I'm having trouble reconciling the fuzziness of your name with the hard white frame running right under it though. It's not working for me there.

Re: Dustin Hill, Project One Final
Hi Dustin - I'm a bit torn on the leading on your body text. On the one hand, it feels too spread out, but then it does help with readability. It's an interesting choice. My favorite part of your design is your self-portrait, and I wish that more of that style was incorporated into your entire page.

Re: Donna Harn, Project One, Final
Hi Donna - I am a big fan of your other, more illustrative concept, but since your particular passion is photography, I understand why you've chosen to go with a more minimalist style. The photo you've chosen is very strong, and I like your logo concept. I would recommend a change for your color sch...

Re: Project One Final Critique
Hi Maria - Yes, I think the gradient on the background is good, and I like the shade of blue you've chosen. I agree with Aharon, the body text needs to be much smaller. I'd also look into a more expressive typeface for your headline. That sans-serif font isn't adding anything to your overall design ...

Re: Project 1 Final - Aharon Williams
Hi Aharon - I like the idea of having color appear on a rollover. That's a cool concept. It lets the user create their own little color show as they move the mouse around. What I enjoy most are all of the different textures you've incorporated, from the background, to your headline font, to the illu...

Rebecca Baumann..Project 1..Final
There was a split decision in the preliminary critique between my two concepts, so in the end I decided to explore the bubblegum idea because it's whimsical and fun. Based on some of my feedback, I decided to make the heads less prominent, and so I placed the sequence on an old-style illustration ca...

Re: FINAL critique for project 1 (Alexey)
Hi Alexey - This is such a cute idea, and you've done a nice job with the execution. I think I'd push the intentional pixilation of your photograph even further, since you want it to be painfully obvious that it's on purpose and not by accident. Maybe consider having a few of the pixels floating awa...

Re: Project1 Final (Rachel Mosley)
Hi Rachel - Nice buttons! They definitely elevate the whole page, and give it a nice polished feel. Right now the only thing throwing me is on the white thought bubble... why are the edges so rough? I think it'd be cool to give it a nice smooth edge to match your buttons below.
