Re: Project #1 roughts

I really like the first one. The div container that will be holding your type is protected well against the busy background you have. The negative image in the middle, works very well! It directs my eye to the buttons on the side and the lines connecting the two direct my eye back to the body type. ...

Re: Justin Hubert

Hi Justin! The second rough is really cool! I think I am just way too into the negative web designs that have one color to make things pop. The type needs to be played with a little more. I think the middle "Web design & Publishing1" needs to start ascending from top to bottom, than bo...

Re: Preliminary Critique Project 1 Rachel Mosley

Well I missed the first class, and I am seeing that I am not on the same page! haha. But yes, I am favoring the second more now too, its simple. I can always move the FB, Twitter, and Google buttons down lower and I would utilize that negative space for body type.

Re: Project 1

Hi Martin, I am really enjoying your first one. It has a really good flow and feel for it. The rays in the image directs back to the left where the buttons are. The type matches really well with your whole design too. I would shrink the TMCC logo just a little bit, the top of the mountain is bleedin...

Re: Project 1 -

The second one is amazing! I really enjoy the style. It definitely has a reno/photography feel. The first one is really good too, but I think you would need to ask yourself who is your demographic? If its for photography in general, then the second one, and you can always add a separate link that sh...

Re: Project #1 Roughs Preliminary Critique

The soccer balls are very distracting and would need to be placed more in the background with some opacity on it. The first one gets my attention more, but would need to present itself a little better. Not so "Paint" style. The first rough is balanced well and the body type is positioned v...

Re: Project One Roughs - Preliminary Critique

I really love the second layout. I agree with its originality. It is easy to read and navigate, and inspires me to go into your homepage further!

Re: project 1 layouts

I definitely like the first one "CMYK". I feel like its easier to read than the bottom one. The bottom is way too busy, too much to look at for a homepage.

Preliminary Critique Project 1 Rachel Mosley

Hey, I am Rachel Mosley and these are two homepage ideas I developed from my 12 sketches. My idea is to keep it neutral with the exception of my logo color, magenta. I kept my font the same as in my logo that reads "MOSLEY DESIGN", to keep it all unified. The thought bubble idea is my way ...
