So I like the first two because they're very easy to follow but I like the others with the images of the football player because it tells a lot about the school

They are both great layouts. It's a great idea to consider your high school's website. Seems a lot of websites can get out dated quick. I would prefer the first design. I also like the prominent action shots of the second layout.

I really like the clean structure from the first design and the transparency in the second! I think it would look really cool if you combined both designs together. Maybe put the headlines on solid white background, and body paragraphs on purple transparent?
