Project 4 roughs
Project 4 roughs
Hello here is my first version!
And this is my second version!
I really wanted to give it more of a fun and creative layout so the artwork and pictures shine through since we are a department about visual media. I feel like the current webpage is very heavy on text and info so my goal is to integrate more imagery and really make it exciting for people to look at especially if they are interested in the GAMT program.Lin V.

Hi Lin,
I love your website designs they look great! I think I prefer your second design, since the transparent navigation looks really good. The only thing I would change is the size of the gallery images so that they are all the same size. Great job!

Hello Lin,
These designs both look great! I really like the first design here. I think it is visually appealing. I like the pop of yellow-green you added onto the slides, I like the fonts you chose, and I like the search engine. I love how the inside page looks! I would make the boxes on the inside page lines up with the images. I would make the body copy a bit bigger. For the inside page, I would line up the picture with the text boxes. Great job!

Hi Lin,
I really like your second layout. Both are really clean but I love the transparent green overlay as your nav bar, its very eye pleasing. I think you really spiced up the site, without losing the overall professional feel. I have to say, I love the yellow in your first design, it. compliments the green and black so well...COuld you Brigit into your second concept?
Nice work!

I concur with your priorities here, Lin. I like the focus on imagery, creativity, and design. TMCC's greens are pretty hideous, but I think you've done the best you can with them here.
I like your second design a little better. The larger and more varied imagery and the use of transparency were the tie-breakers for me. Your commitment to using images that illustrate creativity really makes the deign stand out. It's something many others have forgotten on their designs. Each image is well selected and does a great job of reinforcing and adding to the content. The transparency let's the images show through, but is opaque enough to highlight your navigation and logo in your header. I like the use of the different greens on the different content areas to establish contrast and hierarchy. Your margins are very good as well. Everything has room to breathe. Good type selection too. I think your using a single font and different weights. I especially like that outlined "G" in your "GAMT" header.
I'd left justify your body copy instead of center justifying it. I think you can play with alignments a bit more too. I'd recommend having the left edges of your titles and the left edge of your bodycopy match to create some invisible lines that aren't there, but the eye can see due to pattern recognition.
Nicely done!

Hi Lin,
I love your use of a grid layout for your first design and how you've put a darker green in the in-between spaces. However, I really like your second design with the big image with the woman working and your use of typography. I really like the single outline G with the other letters being solid. Your choice of imagery for your inner page design is also great but for your body copy I would keep it left aligned like you have it on the homepage. Nice job!

Hi Lin!
I definitely favor your first design over your second. It's so clean layout wise and I love the way you spread out the color palette you chose throughout the entire page as compared to the second design that mostly just uses green. I think its a really clean and creative design, awesome job!

Hi Lin!
Both of these layouts are super cool! I really love the images you picked and they make your compositions stand out. Personally, I'm leaning towards your second concept. I like the full image for both your home and inner page and the asymmetrical layout as well with the darker green. The font choices work really nicely as well. My only suggestion is to make your header solid since the rest of your composition is using solid colors. Other than that, great work! I'm excited to see this as an actual website

Hello Lin,
Both concepts look great. I really like the grid layout of the first and large header images on the second. I think either of them would work great, it is hard to determine which I like best.

Hi Lin,
I really like your second set of designs as you have strong imagery, I like the different shades of green, and I really like the playfulness of the “GAMT” I just think it’s fun. Nice work!
