Hey everybody here are my 2 roughs!

And here are the the two websites I found inspirational.

I loved this one for its ingenious use of flash, and its simplistic yet varied color scheme.

this website uses a very simple and grid based layout to absolutely stunning effect. Shows exactly how much you can do with the basics.

Hi Dylan,

I like both your designs, very cool. They seem to be very representative of you and your personality. If I had to choose one, I would go with the first one which lays your work out dead center. It was definitely the first thing my eye went to when I clicked on the link. Good job, great designs! :)

For me, the first design is way better. I think you should go ahead with it. Like the typeface choice. Nice work!

Dylan-
you have such great character that shows through your first rough. I think this is a great one given the project assignment (homepage about you). I didn’t know that we were allowed to do flash on this page!!! You just gave me more ideas for my site! Thank you :D

I didnt see your rough links, went straight to the inspirations. I like the first one. The second's hierarchy is too competitive and I get lost.

i think your first design has alot better element's and a better chance to create a good website due to how the information and images work together. good work

I like the first one because you get to see your work without having to go to another page so a client would know right away if they want to hire you or not. I look forward to seeing it in motion

Hi Dylan - I'm definitely leaning toward the layout with the scrolling flash. It's a well-balanced design, and your artwork is grabbing my attention. I think you could use that headline type for your navigation as well (for HOME, PROJECTS, etc.) to tie it all together. I'd recommend shortening your About paragraph though. That'll stretch pretty far across a big monitor, and it'll be harder to read. Splitting it into two columns would solve that problem.

I like the black site (website 2). It has an intensity the first one lacks. The focus is on your art, great work!!
