Justin Hubert Project #3 Critique 1

Post by Justin Hubert »

Hello,

These are my roughs for the graphic communications redesign.

This first design is my the one I am leaning towards developing further. I used the TMCC colors, and I made a logo for the GRC program that has good texture. I has a basic layout, but I like the feel of it for the most part.

This second layout again uses the TMCC colors and logo, and is a layout I wanted to experiment with. It needs more. but I like the center for navigation. The tabs would switch colors and be rollover image links.

hello Justin,
You right, the first one looks more interesting than the second one although I do not know about the script type that is in the bottom of the bunch of type.

Hi Justin - I'm with you on the first set. The masthead/menu area is really well done, and it provides a great framework for the entire site. I like how you're sticking to the simple color scheme, but I would suggest using a bit more white to brighten it up a little. I'm just a little concerned that it will come across as too gloomy on your content pages.

I really like the shapes radiating from the disk in the second layout, that's a really cool idea. I also like the stacked GRCs in the first. I think you win with either one

i like them both! i think the first set has an awesome and very eye catching design on the home page. the second one is equally as cool but may be a bit dark? love the disk, maybe some white touches would bump it off just a little more? nice job on both though, very cool.

Heya Justin.

I'm really trying to like your focal point on the first one, but I just can't! I can't even pinpoint why, exactly, although I do think you're wasting a lot of space on that inner page on the left side under the banner and around your logo. Your second design feels a lot stronger to me, and I love the idea of rollover images on the links on the homepage to add some color and interactivity. But where are the links going to go on the inner page?

Hi Justin,
I agree with you the first set is going in the right direction. I really the home page and the logo for the GRC program. Can't wait to see the final product! Nice Job

Kinda hard to decide, they both look very cool. I like that green button on the second version of the home page. In whole they both look good. I think if you combine both, it will be perfect design.
