Project one Final

Post by ariaaearnest »

Hello everyone! Here's my final layout. I want to thank you all for the feedback and critique. It's always good to have another pair of eyes to help you with your designs.

I wanted to put in my own illustration to replace the one by Beatrix Potter but I'm not satisfied with how it turned out, I know I can make it look much better. But we can edit our websites later so by then I will get it to look how I want it to.

The colors of your illustration pair well with the colors choices you've made in your layout. Your name and body copy just seem a bit close to the edge.

I love your design and colors. I noticed you are missing your email address. I like the image you are working on, it is very cute.

I'm glad you went with this one. The picture you are doing for it is going to be great. One suggestion though...shorten the length of the lines of your body copy so you have a nice margin on the right side. This will also fill in some of the blank white space below it.

I said it in preliminary, but I love this layout, Aria. The colors, the font choices, the placement of all the elements with the white space is great. I hope you do get a change to finish your illustration and place it in the layout instead of the Beatrix Potter drawing because it's so cute and so you. And I know you hated your drawing but I think it's very cute and it was fun to watch you draw it in lab. My only suggestion would be to maybe try and integrate some of the colors from your drawing (once it's finished), into the layout itself since the green might stand out too much otherwise. Good job!

As a longtime Beatrix Potter fan, I am irrestistibly drawn in by the design motif, and I am excited to see where you take it with your own original illustration. Good luck!

I love the simple, elegant look of your design and I'm glad you shared your illustration as well. I think it will be a wonderful compliment to your page and agree that bringing in some of the green would be a great addition as well. I'm not sure if it's just the way it's showing up on my display but looks like there's a bit of an alignment issue at the beginning of your body copy. I would also put a little space between your nav bar and the body copy. Can't wait to see it with your artwork! Well done!

Overall your website looks great! I love the feel and how different it is compared to others. I have to agree with the other comments that your body copy and name is too far to the right. Also missing email along with the other class info "GRC175..." Other than that, you're doing great! Even your illustration is coming along very well :)

I really like the feel of your website. The colors and the simplistic design works really well together. The only thing that I would suggest is to maybe bring your body copy more to the left. It's really close to the edge and I think it would add some unity to your design if you brought your image and body copy a little closer together or even try overlapping a little and see how that works. Other than that just make sure your site has all the required information. Good job Aria!

I love this storybook style its very cute and well organized. Be careful with that indent at the top of your body copy it was a little distracting for me id just move that over a bit.
