I like your first design. I like how you used the gecko mascot and your type is cool. Maybe get rid of the text shadow in your inner page.

I like your first design best, it is well balanced and it clean, the only changes I suggest to lower the intensity of the green background color and take out the paragraphs shadows nicely done.
