Sarah I love the minimalist designs!
One thought: in reality, if someone were to go to your website on their computer and phone at the same time, they would see two different pictures in the background…how would that work? Or were you just going to choose one picture for both?
Besides my own confusion, I really love both of your designs and wouldn’t change a thing!!

The handwritten feel is killing me, I love it! It makes the technology feel more intimate and the touch of marigold in contrast with the gray colors is a refreshing pop of color. I kind of want the big black box to interact as a door! It would be super mysterious.

Love your artwork! Awesome!!! I would say that it has a book cover feel, maybe think about adding web tabs (i.e. project1, project2, portfolio, links and so on) to give it a web feel.

I love that your design really gives the feeling of the outdoors. I'm not sure about the big black box on the mobile version.
