Hi everyone, this is Marco Horta, for project 1, I had chosen those two samples as my two web roughs. using fonts as Helvetica Neue LT Std for the headlines, and American typewriter for body.
my two inspirational web places were
link 1: https://www.webdesign.org
link 2: https://www.squarespace.com
I had decided to try those two simples web designs with a clean look and the use of neutral colors, also I'm trying to keep symmetrical balance on my designs.
Thank you all for your recommendations, any ideas to improve my designs will be greatly appreciated.

You've got some good stuff there, Marco.

I like your second design the best. It's a super clean layout with good contrast. The white background is a good canvas to lay all sorts of things out on. I like your class logo. It has an '80s graffiti look to it that adds a splash of fun to your otherwise clean layout. I like the faux hand drawn look too. Your navigation is large, easy to read, and easy to use. You've got some good typographic choices going on here as well. The typewriter font seems to work well with the sans-serif title and navigation font. Your headshot image adds another splash of color that works well with your logo.

I think it only needs a couple of tweaks really. I'd pull the drop shadows, I don't think the composition needs them. And try a black or dark gray version of the TMCC logo. TMCCs green clashes horribly, as it does with most good colors and designs. Add just a little more space between your bodycopy and your headshot image.

Good job!

Very nice!

I like these, super clean and easily accessible. This might be the designer in me, but my eye goes right to the color in the second layout and stays there. I wonder what you could do to bring some visual interest to the paragraph on the right. I want to know about you, but my eyes aren't drawn to it.

Design on.

I really like the texture going on in the second layout. It feels breezy and fun, even though
you have a suit on in the picture. "Business in the front, party in the back". haha
You might play around with the spacing of the body copy though.

Again nice job!

Hello Marco!

The designs you have are strong. I like the second design better because the GRC logo is more visible. The contrast of the white and black on the second design makes the GRC 175 logo stand out. That is great since it is colorful and adds a nice personal touch. :)

Hi,

Both layouts are great. I really like the second one because of the color in the GRC 175 and also the contrast.

Hi Marco,
The two designs are both nice. I like the brick in the first one, but the second one is really cool. I like the colors, and simplicity.

A good setup to start with on both, I like the use of a GRC logo as most would simply type it out, however, GRC175 probably shouldn't be your website title and you might want to switch that to your name and fine a new home for that information.

Hi Marco,

I'm really drawn to your second design. The stark white background with the breezy splash of color works nicely and stands out great. I would try to make the image bigger as well as set your type to left justified so that it ties in neatly.

Great job and I can't wait to see the finished product! :D

Hey Marco!

I really like the second one it's got a good balance of fun and professional and fun. I't also simple enough for easy navigation.

I would say play with margins a little bit a lot of feels like your buttons really wan't to with your GRC logo and your body wants nothing to do with it.

Can't wait to see your finished project!
