Dylan Bivens Proj 2 Preliminary

Post by Dylan »

Hey guys. I couldn't really Decide which website to do. Michael approved one of them, but after re-reading the part in the project 2 handout about "Do not take advantage of this of this openness by making a poor choice." I had second thoughts about the one he approved, so I did a rough for each.

Enjoy.

Hi Dylan - I think the redesign for Chris's Guitars would be more fun. For the homepage I'd pick out one awesome guitar and really blow it up and make it the focal point of entry. Then I think what you have in your rough would work for an interior page, listing the guitars with photos (how on earth does the original site have NO photos??? that's nuts).

In your first design the colors in your layout are terrific! You totally capture the mood for your target audience. The whole text layout and imagery artwork make the layout very interesting. Huge improvement to their original layout! Great job.

Very good job on both layouts. Your design catches target audience very well. Type and colors are awesome.

Hey Dylan,
I like the firs about the guitar, I think it is a good layout although i can suggest try another typeface that can mach little more with the design itself and also i would play little more with color in order to do some craziness into the layout. Anyways, good job.

Dylan,

I agree with Rebecca that this layout would work great for an inside page. A full guitar, with the neck and all, going across the screen would be a great start for a home page. You have the beginnings of a nice site.

Hi Dylan,

I really like the Chris's Gituars. Just choose a different typeface that goes with theme of the website. Great Job! :D

Hi Dylan!

I think the guitar website will give you more to work with- as far as imagery and content:-). Is the word guitar meant to be spelled gitar (in your header) on purpose?

Oh, please....fix that guitar one and make them change it! The original (theirs) is horrible! Both the originals are but I think working with the guitars would be fun. I like your ideas, maybe just some typeface changes? Have fun and rock it! As you should... ;)
