Project 3 - Final Critique

Hey everyone! It's finally done! I hope you enjoy it, it was fun (and of course time consuming) to create, and it's definitely very gratifying to see it posted and active and working. This was a really fun class, and it really helped me refine my coding techniques, and made for some fun experimentat...

Re: Project #3_Preliminary Critique

Hi Danielle, I like the colored roughs much more than the grey ones. The grey colors just do not convey a very creative atmosphere. The content of your second roughs is nicely placed, but I think on the degrees page the first column of text needs more space between the right side of it and the left ...

Re: preliminary critique of project 3

Hi Ashley, These are great! I think the boldness of the second design speaks more to the Graphic Communications element, although that orange is very, very, bright. I don't see a problem with the image retaining its full color, which actually might need a bit less saturation in the greens. What you ...

Re: project 3 preliminary critique

Hi Dominique, I think I like the second roughs more than the first. The idea that the paintbrush is what created the image of the Red Mountain Building is very interesting, but I think i could be pushed further by eliminating whatever's to the left of the paintbrush, changing the background to white...

Re: Project3

Hi Kiwako, I really, really like the home page design with the large image, and its accompanying inner page. To improve those, I would consider using the horizontal version of the TMCC logo, or giving the current iteration some sort of background so it doesn't look like it's tacked on as an aftertho...

Re: Elizabeth project 3 Roughs

Hi Elizabeth, My vote goes towards your first designs; with the column in the middle surrounded by images of the campus. That's a cool idea. I think the column is a little too small to fit enough content into especially if you have any long blocks of text, which would mean lots of scrolling. As a co...

Re: Project 3 Roughs

Hi Pat, I think you should combine the two. I really like the look of the white TMCC logo on the dark background, but I like the overall cleaner layout of the first rough. If you're planning on creating a modern design, I would remove all traces of gradient and beveling from the page itself, as they...

Re: pr3_roughs_ab

Second design for sure; I don't think that's a very website-friendly green. I like the idea behind the second design, particularly the slogan that you've created, but I'm not really understanding the meaning behind it. I don't think the contact information is important enough to warrant its placemen...

Re: Project 3 Roughs

Hey Justine, I think the first roughs are better, mostly because they have more visual structure to them than the black layout, which does look like Cards Against Humanity, now that you've mentioned it. I think your GRC logo could use a little refinement; I don't think it looks quite like a palette ...

Re: Lingling's project3 roughs

Hi Lingling, My preference is to your second set of roughs, with the green bar at the top. Your color scheme for the design is very nice, and your spaces for text are looking good. One thing you might try is moving the GRC News down a bit, so the text aligns with the second 'Overvew' text, because a...
