Re: Project3 preliminary work

Both designs are so unique and well laid out, I cannot decide. As a clerical person, the file folders are close to my heart, but the random geometrics make my brain work out. Perhaps more color on the second one would make it even more interesting..?

Re: pr3 prelim

Although the melon head is creepy, it does give a great example of "what you can learn to do!" The first layouts are more agreeable to my old, cranky eyes and brain, but, as so many others said, without the white boxes.

Re: Preliminary Critique for Project#3

I think the second layouts are more professional-looking and the use of images is more appropriate. They are very similar to the current pages, so that may be an issue, as far as the project's aim.

Re: Project 3 Prelim

Love the torn paper, who hasn't had to use a shredded piece for a note? Brilliant concept to make it into the Sierras, rather than the cityscape in the first one. I also really like the images, very representative. The right-aligned type adds to the interest, nice work.

Re: Preliminary Critique #3

Here's hoping you went with the first one! The clock image is a bit disconcerting, but leave it up to individual interpretation, as with both Tucker's and Robert's comments. Some TMCC green would indeed tie it in with the rest of the school's sites.

You are amazing, Avery.

Re: prelim_#3

I agree with Ashley, the second set is much more interesting. I hope it's what you went with...

Re: your thoughts? prelim

The first set is definitely more interesting. It's also much more professional and a great use of the mascot! The text boxes might need a bit more color/less fade, they are awkward to read..?

Re: Project 3 prelim

The black one seems a bit more professional, balanced, and the color scheme is in line with other TMCC sites.

Re: Project 3 Prelim

(Better late than never?)

The first set, definitely the first set. The graphic is a MUCH better representation of graphics students' capability than the lizard. Although the layout is extremly close to the existing TMCC pages, perhaps that is a requisite..?

Re: Preliminary Critique for Project#2

The first one, while it looks delicious, is difficult to read and the image is so big it evokes gluttony. The second ones are much more (ahem) tasteful. The wooden background does just what you wanted it to, sends everyone to their Grammy's kitchen. Nice!
