Re: project 3 critique!
I have to say that I'm really liking both, and choosing a favourite is hard. The first one will have a lot of space at the top that would require scrolling, but hopefully not too much so. The second one might have a few too many lines that could be distracting to the eye in the background, but other...

Re: Project 3 Preliminary Critique - Aharon Williams
I'm glad with the changes you've made to your first layout, as I liked that one the best, though now I worry if it might be a bit too dull after seeing the vibrancy of the colour scheme before. Maybe it's just my eyes trying to adjust to it, but otherwise I love your layout! It uses line and shape, ...

Re: Justin Hubert Project #3 Critique 1
Hey Justin, I think you should combine the home page of the first layout with the content page of the second layout, as I think they would compliment each other very well and it wouldn't be too difficult to match them up since you're using similar colour schemes in both layouts. You'll probably stil...

Re: ekfulton project 3 prelim
I'm really liking both layouts, and yes agreeing with everyone that sometimes I feel like hitting my head against the wall. It adds a nice humour to it. Personally I'm leaning more toward the second one, maybe it's the colour scheme though the first one works just as great. For this one, it's all up...

Re: Project 3 Pre1
Martin, I'm leaning more toward the first one. While I do like the creativity behind your second layout, it seems to advertise art more than graphic design. I like how vibrant the first one is, while still managing to be clean and not looking like your generic website. I'd avoid using italic for you...

Re: Project 3 Preliminary Critique (Rebecca Baumann)
Between the two I'm leaning more toward the second. While both are very similar (perhaps try playing with different colour palettes for more variety?), I think the second one is a better at catching attention and is more exciting. Though I feel the need to point out that the colour scheme reminds me...

Re: Uphill Battle all the way!!!
Count me in as another vote for the first one. It could use more unity regarding the links, there's too many different fonts going on there, but I do like the concept you have going. The links of your first rough are a good place to start regarding ideas for that.

Re: Project 3 Preliminary
The second one seems more open and friendly, and not as rigid or generic as the first one comes off. It still needs a bit more to bring the elements together, since the bodycopy seems to just be floating there, but it is a good start. Maybe if you used a lighter shade of the background colour you us...

Re: Updated! Project #3 - Preliminary Roughs, Donna Harn
Donna, Though the home page of your first rough really caught my attention, the layout of the second one works better and after seeing your redesign I'm looking forward to how much further you take it. It still seems a bit too tight, or closed in, but so far so good. Perhaps consider using a sans-se...

Re: mark p. prelim
I'm liking the first one, it's very clean but still exciting, though your second one also looks like great fun and it encompasses circles, which is something that isn't used in websites very often. Play around with the colour scheme if you're going to go with the second, you're off to a strong start.
