Your layouts appear organized and unified. I think your colors can work well, although I would suggest dropping the opacity of your text boxes to allow some of the background image to show through. I think your information is much easier to see and navigate than the current GRC website.

Hi Ryan,

I agree with all of the above comments. I like your idea with the full image background, so definitely stick with that. As for the colored boxes, try to play with the opacity (as mentioned by others) I think it will help your design and show off the background a little more. Personally, I am liking the green more since it goes with TMCC. The only other suggestion is to play with the font.. perhaps use a regular font instead of italics. Great job on your final roughs tho! While it's good to have a layout plan I feel like you need to work on these a lot more. I would do some more research for your project. I would go with your second design because it looks much cleaner. I pretty much agree with what everyone else has already said on here critique wise.

Both designs are similar, I think I prefer the green over the peach color. I would make the color boxes less opaque, They dominate and cover up your background image too much I think. My only other suggestion is that your margins/centering seems off, especially the TMCC logo on your peach header. Good job!
