Well, look at that! The forum didn't eat it this time.

The 1930s playbill returns! Bringing back it's top-notch contrast and clean, retro layout. Your navigation is still on point as is the well selected headline type. I still like the way it blends into the tops of each of your columns. Your font choice is working so well with your design, here. The colored images stand out brightly against the black and white composition, drawing the eye to them as secondary elements after the headlines.

Really, the only thing I'm not sold on is your bodycopy type and the size of the center column. I think you could have used a bit more space between your paragraphs. The center justifying looks a little odd. I think it would work better if they were right justified. Also, I think your center column is a little too tall for the content in it. I think you can shrink it vertically a little bit.

Nicely done!

Hello Ivor,
I really like your design, it makes me think of Art Deco. Very Cool! I like that your final design has more color, not too much, not too little. You found a great balance I think. The text "Back" and "Next" are a little too big maybe? They blend in with the box, even though it is obvious what they mean, it might be beneficial to make them slightly smaller. Just a suggestion. :)

Hi Ivor:

I love how you took some of the best parts of both your roughs to create this one! The colors really do work well with your black & white template. Also, loving the light blue on the b&w images on the left. Really nice work!

Hey Ivor,

Really like the layout and the use of black and white. The one thing that sticks out is the center portion. Feel like it needs to be shorter, maybe even with the sides or the design on either side. Feel there is too much room between body copy and contact info. Other than that I like the retro feel of your design.

Very neat design Ivor! I really like the lofty rising columnar effect in the organization of your page. It is a really good example of good use of pic frame boxes. The font choice lends itself nicely to those columns and has a nice Art Deco appeal.
I can't really see anything negative to point out, I noticed the space between the middle column and the right column is slightly off from the other side but it's really barely noticeable. overall flawless design! Great Job!

Hi Ivor,

I really like how you've built upon what you had for your prelim. The addition of little bits of more color are working well for me. I have to agree with Michael, there's something about your body copy that just isn't right. Almost every paragraph ends with one word alone on a line. Maybe you could make the type slightly bigger, and/or your margins slightly smaller and justify. That might help.

Hi Ivor!

I love the 1930's feel, its simple, clean, and to the point. I would change the body text it's really hard to read, maybe make it bolder or bigger, But great over all!
