These are two concepts for project one I decided to move forward with. I still am playing around with fonts and the transparency but i enjoy both topics for them. I need to work on the shadowing for the buttons to make them look more realistic but for now they look fine. I like the black and white page (Page 2 animals) mostly because I like the picture of my cat but also for the concept of animals. I also like the space page (page 1) because of the background image and for the layout.
I made a revision to the space layout

hey!
I really like your little space cadet! I think that one has more visual interest. I think maybe downplay the TMCC logo though. School is important, but you are more importanter. Maybe as a footnote at the bottom of the page?
Other than that, super cool! I love the galaxy background.
Design on.

Space life is life....
I like space and your website layout. That little space man in the corner is awesome.
I think he should be the focal point in the layout.
I do think you might try to center the elements in the top box though. It looks a little off balance.
Overall... space layout foe real.

Hi,
I like both layouts but I am leaning toward the space one. The cat is really cute ! I would downplay the TMCC logo. The colors in the space layout are great.

Is no one else going to vote in your poll? That's sad.
As my vote indicated, I like your space one better. I find the little astronaut dude amusing. The starfield works well as a background and to establish a mood, a feel, for the whole website. Kind of cool and distant. A little contemplative. Your layout is very clean and easy to follow. Your font works well for your bodycopy. I have no trouble reading it. The navigation is easy to find and use. I also like the multi-column content layout. You can really use that for mix and matching as you see fit.
I'd use some other version of the TMCC logo. The green goes with nothing. Maybe try a white version, or a black version with a colored outer glow behind it. I'm not sure you necessarily need the purple backgrounds either. I'd like to see what your type looks like on just the starfield. Your font works really well for bodycopy, but you might want to try something that's a little more interesting for the site title and page title.
Nice effort.

I love animals! I would have to say #2 really grabs me though. I like the real life kitty. Is it yours? Very pretty. I like the way the second is laid out.

First one has a nice set of colors, but the font for title could use more work.

Your website templates are both very nice looking but I would say your first template is more put togehter and will be easier to set up once its turned into a website. For your first template the back shadow on your nav buttons I thing is distracting and should over all be removed altogether. Also you should change the over all balance of the structer to make it more symmetrical in some way. For your second template I like the over all the design but, you make have some problems later on mapping the link zones for your pictures, that act as the nav bar. Also you should be careful with images that bleed of the template because on some devices it might cut it off early or will look like you used a knife to cut a section off of the picture. With that said i would go with the first template.

Hi Lea,
Even though it breaks my heart (because I absolutely love cats), I would choose your first design. Your color scheme works well with your interstellar background and makes your text easy to read. I would suggest that you find a different, expressive font to liven the page and make the text more eye catching. At this point my eyes are mostly being drawn to the background.
Great job and I can't wait to see the finished product!

Hey Lea!
I like the space guy layout a lot I feel i can find thing really easily and the Space guy is really cute!
The things I would you need to work on is downplay the TMCC logo and for the headline and projects is to change the type, for the body it's fine, but the rest is really basic and put little bit more of you into it.
Cain't wait to see the finished work!
