HERE IT IS
For my final draft I decided to go the bubble themed design. I want to give that "Developer" look since it's what my final objective is, but emphasizing on my Design skills to give it a strong visual punch to the site.
BUBBLES
Bubbles...? ...bubbles! I know, it feels like bubbles are way off-topic. I believe that it is not very obvious, which to my perspective is good, but the plan for this design was to work around the concepts: fresh, liquid, free-flowing, freedom, experimental, edgy and some-how formal. The idea is to give the visitor the impression that the content in the website is so fluid and watery that the only thing that keeps it from creating mess on his/her desk is the screen.
WHAT'S NEW
Basically I didn't change the layout a lot, but I followed your guys feedback in regards to balance, typography and spacing. Thank you to all of those that provided such valuable feedback!
THINGS TO NOTE:
So, definitely is hard to create a very accurate mock-up I tried to be as exact as possible for the actual sizing. Please have in mind that every section (represented by pixel areas of 1920 x 1080) are meant to fill an HD display so the text is not overwhelming and not too simple either. Also I am trying to optimize the blocks of text given that current trends are wasting a lot of screen size using text way to big.
I understand the idea is to make it easy to read and pop-off, but if a headline covers up about 40-60% of a user's screen is just not efficient nor aesthetic. Also, graphics now are being so over-sized some sometimes (on top of sticky notifications, sticky menus, huge headlines), that it makes the end-user think that he/she needs a bigger display when that is definitely not the case.
Bring your point of view, ideas, comments, and whatnot on these regards!!

Hey Francisco,
Your design layout is way cool, I definitely haven't seen it before, very unique. I really like the background,
kinda of reminds me a Star Wars or the matrix. You have noted that you need to import the graphics
which would help make the composition more balance, but I would also make your size of your body text
bigger, when placing the graphics. The text seems a little small.
I really like where you're going with this, good work!

LOL! You matched the layout of your post to the layout of your website. Nice touch, sir. Nice touch.
All your improvements serve to enhance your design and layout. Your type now has nice margins and the justification turns your text blocks into layout objects themselves. Good margin work throughout. I like how you break your images out of your image container circles. That dimensionality adds another layer of visual interest to your composition. The addition of your pattern to your gradients adds another nice bit to your texture. I also like the way you return to your darker top colors in your footer, letting your gradient encourage the eye through your scrolling website and then rewarding users with a burst of color/pattern at the bottom. The use of Photoshop textures throughout the design is visually interesting and serves to highlight bits and pieces of your information. Your typography and color choices are still excellent.
I'd add some sort of graphic or indicator to your first page to prompt users to scroll down. If their monitors are too low a resolution, they might not be aware of the additional composition below.
Excellent job!

I still love the color scheme you choose for this site's design. Issue I have is where are your links to other parts of the site, you have Menu and thats about it. I am hoping you add more for those links, maybe even include previews to those links on the home page.

You are totally right Aries, I did not attached the menu. Thanks for pointing this out. I am attaching the navigation concept. The idea is the that the menu button is going to be a sticky button floating around and when you click it it will bring the "overlay" style full-screen menu.Ariesboxsye wrote:I still love the color scheme you choose for this site's design. Your Webiste is Great, I love it . I love the changing colors in the text it gives it a nice pop that helps its stand out come paired to everything esle. The only thing that you forgot to do was the Grc quote and the tmcc logo. Everything esle is looking great. Good Job.

Interesting use of dimensionality. Like how you placed the images. It is a unique design and I think shows what your objective is. Would make the type a bigger size. It seems small in your layout.

I really like the collage-looking images that you added to this! Very nice touch. You also unify everything with your logo and color scheme. What I would change is to make the images a bit smaller so that they are not touching the edge. I also am not really liking the fuzzy bokeh that you added to the background, it is a bit distracting when looking at your content. I liked the simple gray gradient from your rough.
Fate, my friend, you say the strangest things

fjbo,
The color choices, the layout of the headline, subheads, and body copy work very well. The improvements needed would be with the images because they just seem to be floating and don't serve your web design as a whole. Perhaps some research in composition is needed.

I love your choice of color! The only thing i would change is your two images of computers. I feel you only need one and could change the other to something else.
