I like your second designs more. For me the colors in the first design are distracting me from the content, however that can be just a me thing but that's just my view on it.

Hi Megan, I'm loving the last layout hands down! Clean, awesome imagery, and good type selected. The last layout, phone version, I think your "EL DORADO CATAHOULAS" type is too big, the poor dog needs some room to breathe Good work Megan!
