This is a close one here, Mackenzie. I'd say your second one is the better one here. Your first one has an absolutely kickass mobile design with the separate "pages" divided by paint runs, but it falls apart a little in your computer layout. Your second one looks excellent both in its mobile layout and computer layout so I say go with that one.
Cartoon You is a fun centerpiece to use for the design. It establishes a fun feel that makes sure the website isn't taken too seriously. She knows something I don't, judging by that smirk. I think the real subtle MVPs of this piece are all the little circles in different shades of gray/white. You've placed them nicely throughout the design and they add texture and quietly move the eye from one part of the composition to another. Good use of transparency on your header to add contrast, it also frames the content area well. Nice choice in colors, the gray, yellow, black, and white color scheme works well together. They are light and dark enough to create contrast (which you use to great effect), and the yellow seizes the eye's attention wherever it goes. The gradient's a nice touch too. It helps push the eye from one side to the other and adds additional visual interest. By and large, your margins are very good too. Nothing feels too crowded.
I'm not sold on the right aligned home button. I think it would look better left aligned against it's dot, like your other buttons. On both your mobile and computer layouts, lengthen your links so each link is one line rather than several. Also, add a little more space between your About Me and Links sections on your computer design. Your mobile design has a nice amount of room between them.
Excellent work!

Holy-Smokes Mackenzie!
You did an amazing job on both designs. I enjoyed looking at both of them, and I have to agree, the color palettes are so aesthetically pleasing to look at! If I have to choose one, I would definitely choose the second one, just because the layout seems more clean and is arranged more neatly (and your imagery is just so cute to look at!). For the mobile layout, I like the first one, so maybe you could make the second mobile layout like the first one? I hope that makes sense. Otherwise, you did a phenomenal job!

I really like your second design the best, it has good contrast and depth. Just need the TMCC logo and your e-mail.

Hello Mackenzie, I like the consistency for the placement of certain like the links are in the white areas, the body in the light grey areas, and the recourses in the dark grey area. Perhaps enlarge your text for the body for the desktop version.
The second design is really great. I love the character in the middle, it immediately creates some personality to the site and you. The colors great, the typefaces are great especially how they look handwritten. The way you spaced your links and type makes your site look clean and gives the visitor some room too breathe.

Hello! liking both of your designs. The colors aren't so common but still is working well. I do love all graphics you chose and the style you decide to develop. I would suggest you to increase the type on the computer rough to make it flow with all the designs instead of just a block of type in the page. But they are so well done and inspirational.

Hi Mackenzie,
Love your illustrations. I think the second looks nicer. It really draws the eye to the page.

Hi Mackenzie!
I love your second illustration- the little yorkie dog is too cute to not show! I think you did an awesome job with your layout and making everything fun without being cluttered! I think the 'home' link would look better aligned to the far left rather than right, to line up with project links. Other than that, I love it!
