Zebras are cool, Genesis!
I like both designs and I especially like the concept of using black and white (I think people should appreciate the aesthetics of black and white more... ugh, people don't understand art.) However, I like the layout of the second design more. It seems more professional in certain ways. I wouldn't mind the mustard color, but if you could work out the black and white on the second design, that would be AWESOME. Otherwise, you did a great job!

Interesting compositions you've got here, Genesis. I like your first design better. The overall grayscale goes better with the Zebras, I think.
Aside from the subject matter, your first design uses margin very well. It's open and airy and breathes well and nothing feels too crowded. I like the Zebras too. It's such an interesting photograph and provides instant contrast and visual interest, which you take advantage of in your design with your logos. I also like your type choices. The hard sans-serif font is a good choice. It's sharp and cool and goes with your generally modern aesthetic you've established. You've also done a good job of delineating the sections on your layouts. I especially like the way your mobile design looks. The Zebras at the bottom and your dark header items at the top frame all your content nicely.
I'd make the navigation and bodycopy black. They're vanishing against the gray background. Capitalize the first letter in all your navigation buttons unless you want to use the lowercase version as your rollover button. If so, carry on. I'm not 100% sold on having the image off to the right and the text in a gray box to the left on your computer rough. I think it might look better to have the zebras at the bottom and the text in two columns above it. Sort of a wide version of your mobile layout.
Nice work!

I love how you placed all your assets in both designs! I think the only thing to think about is changing the text in your first design a little darker, so it isn't battling with the background as much.

Hi Genesis!
I really love the logo you created for your theme! I also think I like the first greyscale layouts more, the composition of the two zebras together is a more interesting photo than the solo Zebra to me. The text feels like it blends into the background a bit too much, so maybe more contrast? I really like the shade of yellow in your second, I think using it maybe as an accent in an otherwise greyscale design could also look really interesting!

Hi Genesis,
I like both your designs. The logo looks great too. I personally find the first one easier to read since the yellow can be a little bit out there especially if used for the entire page. Otherwise, great organization on both
