yo this is my four attempts to make a web site. the reason i chose these links is because the first one had a huge image at the top of it and i wondered if i could use the image as the background instead of just a top image. As for the bank of America website i wanted a more single image than a load of images (by the way the link is huge).

Hi Juan,

Your cartoon cracked me up -- that's quite the ducky! I like how you added interest to what could've been solid blocks of color by adding gradients. I think both designs could maybe benefit from a more expressive font for your headlines.

Hi Juan,
I enjoy the cartoon graphic on your first design, but I think your second design is better. Your second design has really nice imagery and a good layout. I think if you muted the blue and got rid of the gradient it would compliment the image you selected. Also, make sure your text doesn't touch the borders.

Hello! I am leaning more towards your second design. The colors just seem to playing well together. I think playing more with typefaces and alignment could help your designs be stronger.

Hey Juan, so I love both of these designs for their own reasons. The first one is funny and nice because it shows off one of the best projects in the GRC program. I made mine the Night King from Game of Thrones. Anyways the bottom half of the design does need some work with the typefaces and positioning of everything. Your second design, however, is beautifully laid out and has some nice colors. I love how blue is your favorite color and want to incorporate that into the design. I like the gradient you have but im not sure if black is the strongest color against blue. I think if you took a dark blue as you have and gradient to a lighter blue then it would come out better. Also putting PII and PIII for the projects is a little confusing because the audience doesn't know what the "p" stands for. I love how you put your Gamertag in there. I was going to do the same thing! The only other thing I would think about working on is your typefaces. The one you used is very legible but lacks on the readable side of the scale. Try to find something a little bit more interesting maybe?

Hi Juan, the Nega-chin and ducky are hilarious, also both of the layouts are good. I like the second layout more, but the blue box on the computer sized is a bit big on your text box on the computer layout 1.

Although your rough with the illustration is hilarious I would go with the second layout. Maybe you can insert the illustration somewhere in there too. I think the text in the computer layout 1's should be smaller.

Juan, you did not just put ducky there... xD

I like where you are going with both designs, but to give my honest opinion, I think you should have spend more time on choosing some fun fonts! But, if you want to keep it that way, I am totally fine with that! (It's your website anyways.) I like the second design more because I like where you're going with it and layout seems more neatly arranged. Maybe if you lower the opacity on the text box where you present your description, it would more your website more interesting!
Overall, your ducky seems cool bro.

Ha! I really like the cartoon character on your first design, he's simultaneously horrifying and amusing, but your second design is the better one. Maybe see if he can make a guest appearance on your second design.

I really like the background picture on your second design. It has great colors and depth in it and elevates your layout. It serves your design well to make it both a background and a centerpiece. The overall layout is pretty good too. The placement on everything is simple and clean. It's easy to find my way around this page. Your header functions as a nice frame for your content and I really like the off center position of your bodycopy. Good margins in the bodycopy box on your computer layout. Your navigation is easy to see and use and I like the use of the Roman numerals.

Watch your margins on both layouts. Everything in your header on both layouts is right up against the edges, same for your bodycopy on your mobile layout. Move everything in a bit. Give everything a little room to breathe so it isn't pressed against every edge. Your gradients are too strong for your more subtle, muted image. I would pick softer, more subtle colors or maybe go with the black or dark blue, but make the header and bodycopy box transparent. I think you could use another font for your headline name. The current Myriad seems a little dull. Try using something nonstandard there and on your navigation and see how that looks. It's fine for your bodycopy though.

Good effort!
