I'm liking your first design if I look at it long enough it moves lol. I do think the bottom text and logo would look better white with a slight drop shadow.

The second design is so neat! I love how you placed the navigation along with the sunset. If the projects section of the first design was larger or placed a little further from the edge, the negative spacing could be more balanced. Overall great work!

Both of these designs are really awesome! I love the color in the space theme and the way you used the dark oval shadow to highlight your nav buttons. However, I think due to all the texture happening in the space theme, I find the sunrise layout to be easier to look at/read. The only thing I can really think to add to the sunrise layout is perhaps considering moving the green tmcc info at the bottom of your computer layout to the left a smidge so it isn't hanging off by itself so much. If you did this in the mobile layout as well, I think it would even out - center - the placement of this text as well.
Looking forward to your future designs!

holo
the last pair really caught eye because it a simply UI with a calming background. the first set confused me, specifically the background image but, that's about it.

Hi Nalani, the first layout is great, I think you should different kind of fonts to use. Also for the second layout it's beautiful, but try different kind of fonts.

Hi Nalani,

I like the contrast of colors between your designs. I think the second one seems more readable because it's lighter but the layout on the first one a bit more interesting to me. Maybe try to mix and match those elements and see how that might look.

Hi Nalani,
I LOVE your space concept in the first set! The lighter stripe works well for a creative text frame. I think the TMCC could be in white instead of green to match your color palette more, and possibly smaller text or a larger black space behind the project links? The text for the links comes close to the border of where the black fades out, and it sort of gives a crowded impression.

Hey Nalani, I like the space theme you got going on in your first design, especially that white streak for you body text, it's as if a shooting star whizzed by you page which fits together with space background and also that black oval for your links reminds me of a black hole. Man, that font for "Web Designer" on your second design is really cool, and also that background. Great job!
