Project 2 final

Post by itsdrrlcarden »

I didn't know we had to post our finished website on the forum, but I did post using the FTP on time! http://www.grc175.com/student/fall-2019/darrell-carden/

Hey Darrell,

Nice work with your website! I like the change from black project buttons to white.
Your web-page turned out almost identical to your concept design aside from the white text boxes stretching across.
Overall it still looks really nice and well put together.
Nice work!

Hi Darrell,

Very nice work! The black and white elements contrast nicely with the bold, bright colors of the image and headline. The transparency level of your text boxes allow the background image to be visible while still assisting in text legibility. Nicely done!

Great work on your website! The texts' colors you used tie in with your background nicely!

Great work with the website. It's easy to navigate and the colors look good. I like everything scrolls while your background image doesn't change.

Good job. might want to use a little more transparency you blocking out you face. Get those buttons to work and you'll be good to go.

You know, you've got a real interesting case here, Darrell. I think this design works better as a real functioning website than it did as a design preview in Project One. Or at least, I like it much better seeing it in a browser than I did seeing it as a JPEG embedded into a forum post. That's rare. And I'm impressed.

Of course it helps that you've fixed what was wrong with your Project One. This one uses margin well and isn't fighting it's background image as much. Color continues to be outstanding. I really like the interplay between the red in your sunglasses and the red in "graphic designer". The dialing up of your opacity in your paragraph containers really helps too. And it comes with the added benefit of still being able to see the background image. You also make good use of margin here. I even like the little sliver of left and right margin on your titles and paragraph containers.

The only real critique I have is that I think the left edge of your navigation should match the left edge of your headlines and paragraph containers. Your TMCC logo vanishes into the grass, the black or white ones would have likely served you better here.

Great work!

Hey Darrell, you got a neat looking website here. I like that typeface you used for your name, I wish you would have used it again for your headers instead of a serif type. Nice choice of color for your name, even though it is a blue text on a blue background, the dark hue of your name contrasts against the light blue background instead of blending. Nice job!
