Hi! I really like the first layout it caught my attention. Especially the colors pencil looks great and colors are lovey. Also the navigation looks great.

The pencils as a navigation bar is very fun and whimsical! I think the 'truckee meadows' at the top could stand out more, maybe a heavier weight or different font?

Nice designs! I do like the first set as the background image is neat and clean. The background for the other design can be difficult to differentiate the two colors. Perhaps increase the size of your body text.
