Here is my project 3 final. I'm really proud of how it turned out ! I swear the navigation buttons were working, so I need to go back and problem solve what happened there. Also, the text above the images was not purple. It's originally white and when you hover over it, it turns yellow, which it does turn yellow. My goal for this website was to make it look professional but at the same time still be creative and aesthetically pleasing, since it is an art school. I also wanted it to be easier to navigate.

Your website looks really good! The rotating photos are cool, and it makes your website super dynamic. I like the search bar, but I was not sure if it was supposed to go to another page or not? Good job!
That sucks that your navigation isn't working, I'm sorry about that! Everything else looks so amazing though! I love the slideshow, that's so creative and complex, I might have to ask how you did that haha! I love the layout and your use of imagery compliments the website really well. I think you achieved your goal in being professional but still showing the fun and artistic side of Yale's Art School. I love that you made a slideshow of the homepage's big piece of imagery. I know you said the text is originally white but I kind of like that it almost matches the background and then when your cursor finally finds the title it becomes the brightest yellow that has great contrast to the dark background it's on. This may or may not be a part of your issue on things working and what not, but your dropdown buttons in the navigation seem to be not aligned to their parent button, they are all in different positions in relation to the initial button to hover over.

This one kind of looks like a gallery wall, actually. I think it's the off gray color that's making me draw that assertion. Well, that and the image collage format. It's a good look and helps showcase your photographs. I also appreciate you bringing in the Yale colors into your design, particularly with your dropdowns. They're startling splashes of color that really add a fun element to the design. The slideshow is a really good look too. It's very professional looking and gives a good feel for the institution and the art it generates. All your pictures are well selected actually and do a great job of visually summarizing what Yale Art is all about. I really appreciate that every one of your pages has different photos that relate to it's particular topic. Your layout's fully liquid, if not responsive, as well.
I'm losing your type in your bottom big buttons on the home page. The purple is just vanishing into your images. The positioning of the dropdowns means that sometimes I can't quite seamlessly roll down to them and have to do a couple of false starts before my mouse will find a button and dig in. There navigation on your home page is not hooked up to the rest of the site.

I love your website! This did not look like an easy site to put together. Really nice job. The pictures on the home page are all positioned really well and I love the changing image also. It looks professional and really catches the readers attention. Nice job on your drop down menus too! The hover blue over the yellow looks great and screams Yale. The fact that you added a search bar is also super impressive. You have done a great job so far.
Nice home page, great to the the, great on having the huge image change to another. The navigation is also great, it is nice and simple. It is hard to see the text on the big buttons on the bottom.

This looks really good! I really like the image changing on the main image, and I like the images you chose to use throughout your website! I like the rollover color you chose for both your navigation buttons and bottom boxes. I really like the idea of drop-down menus, but the menus shift to the right instead of being under the navigation buttons. Overall, great job!
Wow, this looks great! I love the tinted pictures on the bottom, they give off a unique and fun vibe. I really like how you added the slideshow! That was a really nice touch. The layout you have is really nice to look at and easy to navigate. I'm definitely using the purple type in the background until I hover over it, so maybe changing that to a different color would work better. Super sorry to hear about the navigation problem.
