Hi Mckenzie!
My favorite of your two concepts is the first one! I think the colors you chose look so good together and I like the typography you chose. It goes really well with the fun theme you have overall. I think one thing I would work on is the layout of the "about me, inspiration, projects". I do really like how you have the home and references at the top though especially on the website layout.

Hi Mckenzie,
Fun designs you have here muy favorite is the top design. The design is very soft and welcoming. I feel like making the text bigger would help the project more full. I like the mobile design alot. Your second design is nice but a little bit hard to read. Text over image is a hard viewing time. Good job.

Hi Mckenzie!

Nice work on both of your layouts! I really love your color palette - both options are super vibrant and eye catching and that's just from the colors your picked (definitely getting spring vibes)!

As far as which layout I think is stronger, I feel your second set is due to a couple of factors (although it is hard for me to resist haha). I feel the lavender background with the slightly opaque white text boxes/navigation just aesthetically is easier to glance at and navigate. Speaking of those boxes, nice job organizing those around your homepage - this is the first layout I've seen that did something very different from the rest and used all the real estate for functionality. Anyways those boxes provide a ton of structure and organization to the page whereas the first one I feel like my eye doesn't know where to look. Both layouts are very easy to read and understand but just in terms of design, your second just guides the eye better. The only think I'd say you carry over from option 1 (if you go option 2) is your TMCC logo placement - I feel it makes mroe sense in the lower right hand corner as the spot it's at between the top nav and the homage is a little awkward (although I can see why that'd seem like a fitting spot).

Either way you decide to go, great first drafts to build off here. Looking forward to see where you go with either of these. Also, would not complain if you incorporated your cat to both options haha! Great work! :)

Hello,
I think the first design is working best! There is a very nice contrast between the background and the type making it easy to follow. The color choices you made were very nice as well! The cat imagery is a plus and is honestly the star of the show! Great start!

Hey McKenzie!

I love that cat! I think the first is definitely my favorite design! However, I would maybe bump up the size of the words on the website a couple more points. Just so it's more readable and so it could take up some more room. I love the color for sure! Your second one is fun too but the white boxes take over the website and mobile so I think the first one is a bit more efficient. Overall though they're both really creative and fun!
