Hello,
I really love both of your layouts and I think they are both working very well! Either one of these can be a very nice web design. I especially like the second design though! The colors really stand out and show personality and it is still simple and easy to navigate through the page! I would maybe suggest making the text a bit more legible in that design though maybe white would work better on that one! Great start!

Hey Olivia!

I love the colors for both designs! I love how bold and fun they are! The shadow for the background in the first design is so cool. My eyes just love how clean and organized everything is too! I know where to go if I want to see your projects and I know where to go if I need contacts! It's so clear and so expressive I just love the first one so much! The second one makes me so happy too but the first just wins my heart by a landslide. I'm so excited to see this working later!

Hey Olivia,
I absolutely love both concepts! I also enjoyed how you tried to make them opposite from one another by switching up the tones of color--I think you really achieved your goal of developing a 1980's color palette into them; additionally, I think they also shine your personality through them as well, especially with the choices of fonts for each design. But out of the two, the first concept has got to be my favorite. The overall composition is very visually pleasing, and I love how you made the gradients to be subtle but still very effective when guiding the viewer towards your image and text elements. (P.s. I can't wait to see what you will put for the profile image and how it will tie it all together!). My only critiques for this design would be finding a spot for your email address, it seems awkwardly placed as of now for both formats (computer-sized and mobile) so it might need to go elsewhere; and bringing up the course description a little higher (it seems very pushed to the bottom and too close to the edge). But besides those small adjustments, you had started off really strong in these roughs and I can't wait to see what design you settle on for the final submission! Good job!

Hi Olivia,
You first set's colors are very pleasing... but I have to say, as someone who's spent too much time in waiting rooms in my life, I feel the overall design is kind of 'doctor's waiting room'. It's got a soothing, quiet feel like that, so maybe you can add some contrasting zing with your photo or some subtle 'pow' factor graphic, or effect. I know, look who's talking, I'm not exactly producing 'on the vanguard', but, I am a frequent waiting room 'waiter' looking at posters designed to lull me into passive waiting.

The lower design is very different, I like it, a bold choice, stands out. Kind of woven blanket feel to me, which I like. Maybe the slashes of color could just a little less saturated in the bigger layout, OR, maybe if the body copy typeface was just much bigger it would be easier to read. A little hard to read that part for me.

I like the complete difference between your two overall designs. The font for your name: it's kind of a 'blah' font in all caps that denotes a whole "company" to me rather than an individual person. I think it'd be better in upper and lower case... and how about an effect on it? That might be fun. The content of your photo could completely nullify everything I just said, so, I'm looking forward to seeing that.

Both designs could be completely amazing with just one or two little tweaks, so, great foundations.
