Hi everyone
Here are my final layouts for project 1. I changed a few things since the preliminary like some of the alignment of my body copy and where the navigation buttons are at the top just to go with the layout of the image. I also changed the welcome and put my name there and added my initials in the top left for a kind of home button.
The website i feel most influenced the design is https://mariamarie.com because i like how she has her background image not totally covering the whole page just part way because it adds some interest. I also like the layout of this website, https://www.wildflowerdesignco.co.uk because overall it is super simple but looks clean and professional! Here are my designs!

Hi Lily, I really like the direction you went with your design, the bright flower contrasting with the dark background is a great balance! The only thing I would change is the picture in the background, i really like the picture but it cuts off on the left side and it's a bit distracting. Other than that these look great! Well done!

I like the idea design concept to your theme, real flower like. Great for a flower shop.

Hi Lily,
I really like how the flower in the background has such nice contrast while the green color itself isn't too bright, so the overall effect is rather soothing. The all-white text serves to unify and it pops off well from the darker background. The only thing I can think of to suggest would be to rearrange the navigation words so that they are equally spaced from each other. Maybe make the margins from the top content and bottom content the same to the edge of the document. What if the i in Lilly lined up with the body copy? I think you did a good job.

Hi Lily!
Wow! Nice Job on your final layouts! After looking at your inspiration, I really think you nailed the aesthetic you were going for. And I didn't even catch your cleverness the first time around with your name and the background being Lillies (my flower knowledge is dismal at best lol). Knowing that now, I really love how everything ties together with your name to the background to even your font selection - so elegant and professional looking!
Honestly there isn't much I would change minus perhaps making the font size for the "GRC 175..." at the bottom a little smaller than your about me body copy. It would just differentiate/separate it more as well as treat it as sort of like a copyright at the bottom of the page where as it is now, my eye just goes straight to that after reading your about me. Also as a suggestion, I really really love your initials for your logo stamp in the top left - you should totally play and experiment with that like perhaps incorporating a very simple line drawing or silhouette of a lily with it (either to the side or perhaps behind the initials).
Regardless of my minor subjective suggestions, you nailed what you were going for and am excited to see you build this out! Awesome work!

Hiya, lily.
I like how you went with the pun for your name with lily background on Lilly's website. cleaver
(I think that's a Lilly correct me if I'm wrong)
Your colors all match, and you can see the words and letters, pretty good job.

Hey Lily,
I love the choice you picked. I love how you picked green and nature. It fits your aesthetic really well. I also really like the font you used. I also love the font you're using. Everything is just so elegant and fancy! I also love the hierarchy and organization you got going on. All my stress is literally gone after looking at your designs. It's great!

Hello,
I enjoy the composition of your layout and I also like the way you integrated the imagery into blocks in the background. Compositionally the setup is awesome and elegant. On that note, is it possibly too elegant, I don't want to ruin the design, but at first glance it reminds me of a funeral notice....the lilies, the dark contrast, and the script font just hits my brain that way. Design wise its solid as a rock but the concept in general is a bit subdued and gives me the funeral notice vibe, not in a bad way, it looks so clean it makes me think of a template, but conceptually it's just where my twisted brain goes. Good work and best of luck moving forward.
