Hi Mckenzie, it works great! it's clean and runs well, only thing is that the rollover for your projects drop down activates all the way to the left of the page, otherwise it's great!

hey Mackenzie nice website.

It is simple but also gets the point across to nice job. If I could offer critique try to make the drop-down a bit bigger cause its kind of small. but besides that nice.

You did a really good job coding your site to be true to your design. It has a simple and easy-to-navigate layout. I do have a few things of note that I would like to mention. When I hover over the inspiration menu, the dropdown appears but disappears instead of letting me hover over the list that appears. The projects menu works just fine. I also noticed that the triangle logo in the upper left has a fixed property (I think?) which is really cool but since the navbar itself does not, the image disappears into the background of the page. Just a couple of little bugs you might want to look into. One other thing that is just my opinion: I think you should add a hover property of some kind to the dropdown items, so users can see which item they're hovering over more clearly. But, regardless, you have a fun little site here and I think you did a good job. :D

Such a cute functional website, I love the pastel color palette the playful nature of the theme. There are only two things I would look for to improve as a user, I would like to see the design fill the entire screen and the choice of fonts to be a bit more streamlined. You have a decorative, serif, and a san serif here and it kinda breaks up the great theme you have going, if that makes sense...? Otherwise I dig it and look forward to how it pans out.

I really like the colors you've chosen for your page. I like the font as well I think its very fitting for the vibe of your site. its got some mad groovy 80's vibes and I dig it! I think the overall functionality of the site is great but I don't think that you need the links for project one or two considering this assignment Is a combo of 1 and 2. other than that I think it looks super groovy.

Hi McKenzie!

Ah yes the 80's kitty website! I love it! Such a fun, vibrant site you made here and congrats on bringing it to life! Being a first timer doing html and css, I am just in awe of how I even did this project. But hey that's why we're taking web design haha.

Anyways, not much to critique at all because its so spot on with your original concept! My only little suggestions would be to add hover animation when you scroll over the buttons but thats totally subjective. Your drop down menus look fantastic as well. Keep up the great work! :)

Best,
Zach

That cat is still judging me. What did I do?

It does work, McKenzie. I see a website. It's fun to see a website change vibes when it goes from roughs to website. I'm not sure there's much different with it, truth be told. I think you did a pretty darn faithful translation as far as I can tell. But for some reason it's lost a bit of it's 80s vibe and picked up a "girl's bedroom" vibe. The whole thing has a "comes from a gel pen sketch" feel. Miss Kitty seems comfortable in either vibe, though. She's ready to pass judgement on all of us. One change you did make which does work well is moving your sub navigation up into dropdown menus. It does a good job decluttering and adds a little bit of visual interest to the whole thing. That heart letters font is simultaneously infuriating and hilarious and you got it to work in a browser. Impressive. I also like the vaguely sherbet colorscheme, which is working just as well here as it is on your roughs.

Your dropdown on "Inspiration" disappears before I can click on anything. I think it could have used something in the big open space to the left of the content area too.

Good work! Put in a good word with Miss Kitty for me, please?

hi mckenzie
wow you have put so much work into this i cant believe you already have most of your projects up and running so well! youre doing amazing! i also had the problem where some of my top navigation would go to a line underneath in the wrong place but i just kept tweaking the spacing and finally it worked somehow.
