Hi my names Liv, I like being outside and art. I tried to convey that with my website by using natural elements like plants and clouds. My favorite colors are green and pink, hence the colors. Unfortunately I think my websites are just giving...myspace? I have been listening to a lot of 2000's music lol, maybe that's why.
The websites I used for reference include BaileySarian.com for her color scheme and use of photo background.
And VivalLaBonita.com for their typography.

Hi Liv,
I really liked the imagery that you used in your first design, I think that it’s awesome that you incorporated another interest of yours into the design! I think it also has a more modern look to it. You can also consider changes to your web layout, maybe adjust the text to align with either the left or right side for legibility. The checker layout is cool but if you’re interested in playing with other layouts, aligning things together might help! Can’t wait to see what you make this semester! Good luck!

Hi Liv, I like both of the themes you're going! I think the colors on both of them are working pretty well.
As for the layouts, I believe they will look better if you align the sections (projects, portfolio...). Right now, your eyes go everywhere, especially with the first one.
Overall, I think both of them are working pretty well. Good luck!

Hi Liv!
I like the background images you used in your design. The plants are especially nice, and I think work a bit better than the clouds when it comes to contrast. I think I am leaning toward the plant layouts, but as others said, I think you can also improve your hierarchy to create a visual path for the eyes to follow. I also like the checkerboard layout! A cool idea I thought of was creating the same pattern for the background of the website, with pictures of the plants inside each square. This could allow you to open up areas for type where you need it, and show certain parts of the plant in certain areas. You are doing great so far! I think the website has a similar feel to your other work that is present in some of the classes we share together. Keep it up, and best of luck!!

Hi Liv!
I love these designs, good work! I'm really drawn to the 1st design over the 2nd...mainly because the 2nd design reminds me of a yoga/meditation-type of website, which if that's the idea, then go for it . The 1st design leaves you plenty of room to grow (as far as content and such goes) and I like how the overlay/opacity of the pink boxes plays well with the plant image. It makes me super happy to look at. Ok, so, the only thing I would really mess around with would be your typeface/font choices. I think you can find something that's a little more you or maybe something with a little more edge to it. Can't wait to see what you do in this class, super fun.

Oh nifty! I like that plant one with the content in checkerboard boxes.
Love the plant background image you've selected here. It provides such great color and texture to your design. The leaves move your eye through the design nicely. Fascinating choice going with a clockwise radial layout. It does a great job of leading the eye to the Project links in the middle. Good use of transparency to let the image shine through to your text. I think the image is too textured to just put your type on it, so it works here. Thanks to the layout, the navigation is easy to see and use. Good choice on the font as well. It's fun, but very warm and easy to read.
Watch your padding (the distance between your content and the edge of it's containing box) in your content boxes, especially the box with your Project links in it. Take a look at your Tutorials and your Name boxes and match the padding on those.

Hello Liv,
I really like both sets of layouts you designed, especially the last two. I like the dreamy aesthetic you created with your use of color and how you organized the information on your page. I think these designs have a lot of potential and could use a stronger sense of hierarchy by using different weights of a typeface. Other than that, I believe you're on the right track.

Hi Liv!
I think I like your top design the best. I like the color scheme and I think it portrays your style. My advice would be to move your about me box to the middle since you are the focal point. I would also create some type of hierarchy with the boxes, possibly making the box about yourself bigger than the boxes with the links. Good Job!

Hello Liv,
I like your first design the best. I think the color of the boxes and the background image you chose blend together quite nicely. For the web layout, I would swap the GRC/TMCC area and the about me and adjust them accordingly. For the mobile one maybe try centering your name. Good job.

Hi Liv!
Your color story is so cute! It is really hard to pull off candy colors and I think you have done it expertly. I would love to see like little cloud buttons or some more motifs that tie into the theme. Overall a great start!
