Project 01 Preliminary
Project 01 Preliminary
For my first project, I was inspired by my favorite colors; blue and purple. I thought of a few things associated with these colors and that ultimately led me to the theme of my design. The two websites I chose are from two of my favorite artists. Unicorn Eclipse is a stationary shop, their aesthetic has always caught my eye. I like that they take themes and make them into different aesthetics and products. As for RossDraws, he is an artist that has inspired me since I was in middle school. In his website, everything is very easy to read and navigate, which is something I would like to include in mine. I also really like his “About Me” section, it's light-hearted but still professional. I used Illustrator for both of these designs.

Hello Natuwu!
Nice color choices for both versions. I liked how you incorporated a snowcapped mountain in the header background of the purple version. It kind of reminds me seeing a sunset on the lake in the winter. Nicely done.
I would have liked to have seen some graphics on the blue version of this project. It seemed empty compared to the purple version. Finally, I would just have one more suggestion for the mobile versions... Instead of having the buttons (project 2-4), I would replace them with a hamburger menu. This will allow more space on the mobile version of the site. Overall, you did a great job. I look forward to seeing the final version of your project.

Hello Natalie! I really like both your designs but I really like the purple one! I like your photo in the top and how its a clear photo but the color has been played with and its a very soothing touch. I love the color and its very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Also your text bubbles are very round and relaxing to look at Great work!

Re: Project 01 Preliminary
Uh oh! A post by an "uwu". Always concerning.
Looking at these, I get a feel for what you were going for, but they seem incomplete. The blue one especially. That being said, I still prefer the purple one. I think it has the stronger computer layout and that lake image is really selling me.
I like the multi column layout you have going on with the computer version of it. Each project has it's own little silo to put descriptions and possibly screenshots in. Good use of margins, everything seems to have room to breathe here. Your header photo is pretty strong and adds immediate visual interest. The bit of non-purple shining through are warm yellows and oranges which always work well with purple. Speaking of purple, I like your use of different tints and shades of it to establish heirarchy. Nice type choices as well, that rounded title type especially. It's not something you see everyday and thus stands out. Your navigation looks easy to see and hypothetically use.
I would have liked to have seen more content (text/photos/graphics) in your layout. As it is, I feel like I'm having to imagine it a bit in my head and critique THAT. I hope I have your intent right. Also, watch your horizontal and vertical centering on the text in your Project buttons on your mobile version. Make the TMCC logo purple to match the rest of the layout, As it exists, it clashes with the rest of it.
Good effort!

I prefer the last purple one. I like that everything is purple (except for the logo) and you even added a purple tint to the banner as someone else already mentioned. I also like the font choices better on the second. A little more pizzazz/personality

Hi Natalie.
While a lot is left to the imagination with both submissions, I think you've used space nicely and navigating the web page will be a pleasant experience once there is some data to peruse. I like the image you used on the purple rough, it presents your title (name/class) nicely. I also enjoy the typeface used in the purple one, gives me a real Reno vibe (which I believe is a good thing ). One suggestion to improve the overall cleanliness would be to match the coloring of the TMCC logo. Great work!

Hello Natalie!
Good use of colors and a nice layout. I like your use of a faded picture in the final webpage. That would probably be the one I'd pick.

Hi Natalie,
I really like what you've done with the purple version. I think by adding the city view in the header really gives the purple version more visual interest as well as breaks up the page a bit.

Hi Natalie!
I think the purple version is the stronger of the two. The font is also super interesting on the purple design as well! Great job

Hi Natalie!
I really enjoy your second layout. The way the image interacts with the type is working really well. The layout also flows a little bit better for me than the second. Great work!
