Hello all, my name is Chloe and this is my revised final draft for project01! I made some slight changes to the background and layout and cleaned up the overall design as well. These designs were heavily influenced by my love for drawing and painting, hence my layouts having a sketchbook-like theme. I've been delving into the realm of black-and-white artwork as of late, and these designs portray the moody and dark themes I love to work with in my art world!
These two informational websites helped me understand web design a little better by going over the basics of layout, design, and constructing a website, which will be helpful for upcoming projects!

Incredibly unique and fun to look at. Reminds me of a tumblr blog in 2016 or something else along those those lines. I like the incorporation of your artwork. I think your influence of art is made clear through the crumpled paper background and drawings. The name alone is really neat and spider like too.
Very cool site!

Awwww yeah! Heavy metal, paper bag cryptid ahoy. This one's looking super craft fair mysterious, Chloe. The vibes are strong here.
The big theme of this design is texture, both literal and visual. It literally has a great paper bag texture and some super distressed drawings. And visually, you use overlap perfectly to break up the natural blockiness of your layout. The blurry cryptid picture really ties it all together. Like you're some kind of tabloid magazine trail cam photo alien/fairy/vampire/sasquatch or something. And your website is somebody's shoebox mood board about things they found in the woods. I'm just looking at it like the X-Files theme is playing. Love the bodycopy and title font choices. They make it looks like it was cut from a magazine (bodycopy) and scribbled with a sharpie on the bag (title). In amongst all that you actually have really good margins, too. Everything has a nice amount of room to breathe.
You know, I think your background is light enough that you didn't need the white sheet behind your main content. Or, if you felt you needed it, leaned into it a little more and made it look like a piece of paper. I'm also not sold on the sans-serif type. I get why you did it, but it's jarringly clean compared to the rest of it.
Excellent work. Immaculate vibes.

Hi Chloe!
I am obsessed with this layout. Your preliminary designs have been one of my favorites, especially this one! I love the texture in the back and your pictures. I also love the typeface you chose for your name. The only suggestion is to match the typeface for the tabs on your mobile design to the tabs on your computer design. Besides that, this design is stunning, and I can't wait to see it live!

Hi Chloe,
I love your texture background. It goes very well with your theme and makes the vibe of your page strong. I think your typeface for your name is cool. your font choices for navigate and body text are easy to read. The layout is good too.

Hello Chloe!
I enjoyed the crinkled newspaper background and the centipedes on the wall. It was a nice touch. I did have a recommendation though...Instead of having the same tab menu as the web version, I would have used a hamburger (drop-down) menu on the mobile version to free up some space on the page. Other than that, good job.

Hi Chloe!
The simplified presentation really helps both the mobile and computer layouts read easier. I'm happy you kept the critter, which stands out more in your final. Nice work!

Hi, Chloe
Your final design looks so cool I can really see your personality coming out in it. I also love how you used the letter of your first name as almost a home button menu idea it's really smart. I also love all the little images you use around the page without making it look too busy, in both your versions.
