Project02 Final

Post by kristenrothbauer »

Hi All!
I've been really struggling with getting my website live, so I really hope this link works. I think I did a decent job reflecting my original design, but I definitely have a lot of room for improvement. Also a lot of things to go back and fix/do better over the semester!

Hello Kristen!

Yes, your link did work, but there was something wrong to the point where your images were blocked by some colorful distorted image. I feel your pain on this one. I also struggled with mine, but the good thing is that you made it through. Good job on your efforts!
Warm Regards,

Hello Kristen!
Your website link did work! The website looks like your rough draft; you did great. Don't worry about how it looks right now! I struggled to align my work and did not understand how to add borders around my type. I love the picture you used; I only suggest zooming your website out by maybe 50%. When I zoom out of your website, everything looks good. The picture is half covered with a glitch, but I'm sure it's an easy fix. You got this, and I can't wait to see your website develop over the semester! :D

Hi Kristen! Your website is very beautiful! ''Chale, pobre michi'' (Man, poor kitty in English translate) but the kitty pic is very cute, I don't understand why it glitches the image D:
I hope there is a way to solve the image problem. I really like your background color and fonts, it looks elegant. Nice job :D

Hi kris,

When I opened your website your image didn't properly that's definitely something you can fix I definitely see the vision you're going for. I also really like that you stuck with the same design that you did for your final for project 1.

Hi Kristen,

Your website is working fine to me. Not sure if it only me but the image is not 100% show up. Only the top part of it shows clearly. But I do remember your image though :D. I think your header proportion is good. Your footer a bit too large or maybe not depend on what you will have over there. The navigations are working fine. Can't wait to see your final version. You are getting there. ;)

Hm. It's getting there, Kristen. Feel free to keep tinkering. I intended Project Two to be a sandbox for students to keep playing around in for the rest of the semester as their skills increase.

Even if it's not a perfect translation, it's has a lot of the elements of your Project One design. You've got your great color scheme in place and your header and footer acting as great framing devices. You have a large image area to put in whatever you like, and your type works decently even if I miss your script headline. Your layout is clean and easy to follow. I have no trouble finding and using your navigation, which has good rollovers to signal to users that they words are clickable.

Your main cat image looks like it got corrupted. I can see kitty ears and then a sea of bitrot. Everything also seems too large and is spilling off my screen. I have to zoom out quite a bit to properly see it. Once I do, it works okay though.

Good effort!

Hi Kristen!
The page seems to be really big, but maybe you can play around with that and fill in the empty space! Overall your website is coming along, I really your color scheme!

Hi Kristen!

Your website link worked, woo hoo! :) The one thing is your image is distorted or didn’t translate over. You did a great job bringing your website to life though :)

Hey Kristen,
I think you did a great job creating your website based on the roughs we saw. There was some issues with the website being too zoomed in, but once you zoomed out it looks great.
