Hello everyone. This is Seungwoo Lee. I'm from South Korea. This is my second semester and I am taking design classes. I have never been interested in graphic design. However, during COVID-19, i became interested in video graphics and video editing while watching YouTube and other videos and wondered how I could edit videos. As I searched for information, I learned that if I learned graphic design, I could edit or modify videos. Also, I like taking pictures. I know if I learned graphic design, I would edit, modify, and fix my pictures. But I don't know much about web design. I have some anxiety. I hope that I can learn about web design information and theories through this class.
This is my project1 preliminary.
Here are two web sites inspired me
https://www.naver.com/
This is a Korean website. It is a site that I use to find the information I need. And sometimes I use this site often when I want to know Korean new information and news. And I understand information that is difficult to interpret in English through this site. And this web site is the largest website in South Korea.
https://webkul.design/blog/top-20-websi ... s-in-2023/
I found out about this website when I did some research on web design. This site lets you know how web designers do web designs and what designs were popular. And it's a website where you can learn about various web designs.

Hey Seungwoo! I like the colors that you used for your mobile layout, I feel like your first design is strong! I like the fonts you used, they're pretty eye-catching! I'd say to probably center the font on your about me paragraph and remove the hyphenated option. Maybe a darker blue on the shape surrounding you would help bring that to attention due to the contrast? Other than that, I really like your layout!

Seungwoo Lee,
Is it Lee?
So I really love your images. The bay area is a favorite of mine. The use of the selfies shows a strong sense of confidence. Don't have anxiety. This is great work. You chose a great font in the blue version. I'm also impressed you used more than one image.

Hello Seungwoo,
I like the first design best. I like the photo where the phone covers your face more than the ppe mask. I am a big fan of using the hamburger menu for mobile views, and maybe make the typeface a little bigger for your bio section? Great use of colors. Maybe use a photo in the mobile view as well?

Hello Seungwoo,
I like your second design. The color you chose goes well with both images. I can see that color in the first picture relating to the water and greenery and the muted color of the second image reflects the value. I would play around with the type. Maybe give some margins and size up on body type for easier reading.

Hello! I like the second design and I like the teal color choice. The pictures are great too! Maybe increase size of some of the fonts and watch out for margins.

Re: Project1 premlinary
Your first design has a really cool photo portal there, Seungwoo. I'd recommend going with that one.
That photo portal looks like it's irising open to reveal your selfie inside. That adds a lot of visual interest to your layout. As does the photo below it. Both pics really says something about you. I also like how you clearly delineated the sections of your website with line work. It's broken up into clean segments that are easy to perceive. The geometry of the iris works well in this scenario. I like that you went with a simple color palette and let your images take care of all the color and most of the visual interest. It's kind of like a scrapbook that way.
I think I would bring over what you've done on your mobile layout into your computer layout. Your mobile layout has a lot going for it and some real unique elements. It looks better than your compute layout. In fact, there's not a lot in common between the two. Also, where is your navigation on your mobile version. I would add a bit of left and right margin to your bodycopy. Right now it touches the right and left edges of your design. Look at your class above the photo portal to see how much even a little bit of margin helps. Id recommend using the font you used for your title on your class information up above, that font looks cool. I'd also recommend using a sans-serif font for your bodycopy. Something like Helvetica or Gotham. It'll look cleaner and more futuristic.
Good effort!

Hello I like your designs theyre both great. I do favor the bottom one more because I like that circle design for the photo. I suggest making the text easier to read

Hi Seungwoo,
I really enjoy your designs. Your first design is great. I like the different photos that you choose for your design. I recommend have a full blue background instead of using the the blue circle.

Hi Seungwoo,
Awesome designs you have, I like to color scheme and placement on both, but I feel the second one is the best, its simple and easy to the eye, my only suggestion would be to make the font type slightly bigger since it is a bit small. And choosing a different font for your project and resource links to something slightly more legible, still keeping with the style you’re going for will be awesome. Overall great work can’t wait to see.
