Hi Benjamin,

I like the clean designs and can't really choose one over the other. I think they could both work as long as you add one more component. In the first one, it'd be something to make the type easier to read and the second one I think needs something else like an image or a fun design/shape/etc.

Your layouts look good. Out of the two of them I think the one with the picture for the background looks better than the all black. Great job
