Project One Final

Post by shasta_the_masta »

Hey, everyone! I decided to choose the simpler of the two layouts, with the pink and green solid colors.

I changed my fonts a little bit. My text in my navigation bar is bolder. The headline which says my name is written in a handwritten script typeface because I figured it has more personality than the serif typeface I used in my prelim. My body copy is aligned left this time as well. Other than those few minor tweaks, everything is pretty much the same.

Here are my links for information on web design. I already posted these in my preliminary post, but I thought I'd share them again:

Hi Shasta,
Very nice layout, very clean, readable, and to the point. I also like the colors you use, they seem to contrast well. Overall a great layout.

Hi Shasta,
I really love your design! It's clean and colorful. I like your use of shape to keep things grounded. I like the type you used, it looks very cute and matches the vibe of your design.

Great job,
Rebekah

Well, look at that, you fixed my big issue with this design. Nice nav, Shasta. It's easy to find a presumably to use. You also left aligned your bodycopy. Excellent.

The two pics of you really balance the composition quite well, both horizontally and vertically. In fact I'd say balance is what the composition does second best. Most things in it are nicely balanced from edge to edge, top to bottom. What does it do best, you ask? Contrast. This thing has a very strong sense of contrast. It's what punches out your headline and makes your navigation so easy to see. Your color choices are great too. I really appreciate that you made a deliberate effort to use colors that only appear in your pics. That ties them in with the rest of your composition and really locks everything together. Your typography is working nicely two. All your typefaces seem to work together decently.

While I like the left aligned type, I think your text box could have used to come over to the right a bit. Visually it's closer to your left image.

Nice work!

Hi Shasta,
Great idea to change your greetings to a handwritten script, I agree the greeting gives a more personal touch. The colors seem different from last time. Both colors pair nicely. Great Job!

Hey Shasta!

I think your website is well laid out. I like how your fonts look together. I also like how the color of your shirt in your pictures works well with the rest of the colors in your site. Good job!

Hi Shasta! I believe I said this before but I love your colors! And your pictures being of the same day/shoot makes it very cohesive (also cute pics! :D) Your design appears super friendly and fun! It's amazing!

Have a good night!
