I totally re-designed. I think this is much better.

Oh yeah! This is a definite improvement. You've established just enough contrast with your objects that they show nicely on your black background. I like that blue metallic gradient you're using for your navigation stars and your headline. The text choice is fun too. A bit of a hippie typeface. It works nicely here. Adds a lot of fun to the composition if you ask me. The headline and bodycopy are nicely broken up. If the boxes were gone from them, they'd have a nice left margin from your photo. This layout has a pretty decent structure to it all things considered. Easy for my eye to move through it. Your navigation is big and easy to see, and presumably to use.

I don't think you needed the blue boxes around your title or bodycopy. They seem to have enough contrast with your black background to display just fine on their own. I think your block of stars would have looked better moved over a bit closer to the center on your mobile version. Also, the type in your stars is not all on the same baseline. I think I either would have shrunk the type slightly or enlarged the stars slightly to make sure the type was on the same line in every star.

Good effort!

Hi, David

Great work from your roughs!! I can obviously see you took lots of time working with colors, form, and fonts to provide a good looking layout. I really like the font you used, and the blue and purple work good together.

I like the use of a border around your header/body copy, but maybe make it a bit more bold? The stroke of it is very thin, I think it would pop a bit better if it was thicker. Maybe a lighter blue stroke around your stars too to make them look like a button? Spitballing!

Good job! I can't wait to see it live in the next project.

Hello, David.
This is a great improvement from the preliminary roughs. I like the font you're using this time. your choice of colors works good too. It looks like some of the text inside the stars looks a little cramped. Maybe making the starts a little bigger might help. I don't know how to feel about the blue boxes. Maybe adding a blue box to your picture can help, or removing the boxes might be an option too. Overall, your design shows a big improvement, and it is going on a good direction.

Hi David,

You did a great job with the colors and getting everything to work together visually and design-wise. I like the use of stars, and I think you did a great job with the transition to mobile.

Great job,
Rebekah

Hi David,
Nice improvement! I do like the color scheme and the blue gradient on your headline. I will say the text on the stars does not align the same as the others. I also might make the star buttons bigger so it's easier to see on your web design. Overall great work!

Hey David!

I like your font choice! I think it adds a lot of character to your website. I think think that having a black background was a good idea too. Cleans up the whole design. I don't think stars are the best choice for your navigation buttons, but my website is a notebook so what do I know? I just think a different shape might be better.

Hello David,

Im super happy to see the improvement from last time!
This design has a lot more personality and jazz. It seems like you really like it too!
The only small thing id look at is the kerning and letter size of your body paragraph.

Thank you

Hi David! Your designs came a long way from what you initially had and they look amazing! I love the blue and purple contrasting against the black it pops in a very interesting way!

Have a good night!
