Hello GRC175!
My name is Liam, I know most of you in here but whoever I haven't talked to, nice to "meet" you. I responded to all who posted before in the prelim but I haven't shown my design yet.
This solves the issue of having NO design by being something. In my research I looked at earlier web design with pixel graphics and times new roman type. I thought that the design style was fun and part of my personality. as well, I wanted to show the brightness of RGB. We haven't been able to see it much in other classes so why not! The desktop has some photos I took integrated into the background for texture and pizazz. Not only does this serve as a place to post my work, but I hope it in future to make it into a new gallery for my photography and graphics. I understand the space for project 2 and 3 are theoretical but for right now and more interactivity in the future, I just used the words as placeholders. My current site is very boring and just an adobe preset. If you want to check it out, liamhartman.com
Some designs that inspired me are the late 1990s MTV sites, you can see an example here: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2017/ ... ize=medium
Most of my inspiration comes from pinterest, behance etc.

i really like coolors.com and their tools as well
Before I forget, here are my designs:

Hi, Liam
Wow! You took a super creative approach to this assignment, this is looking super sleek. I love the colored collage relating to your references and projects. You did a great job condensing that section into the mobile layout. The use of circles vs squares is a nice contrast. (And triangles too!)
Great work!

Hi, Liam.
I like how colorful and dynamic your design looks. It really displays your passion for photography. I like how the TMCC logo adapts well to the whole design too. The concept of your navigation buttons is great. However, I feel like your photos kind of blend with the buttons. Maybe adding a bit of opacity to the photographs will make the navigation buttons more visible. The class info it looks a little too cramped on the corner, but it looks good on your mobile version. Your design turned out pretty cool, it truly looks like a photographer portfolio website.

Hi Liam,
This I really fun design! I like the colors, I like the shapes, I like the pictures, I like the pops of red that almost frame the whole design. I like the attention to detail with the color of the circles also being the color overlay of the photos in the back! Very creative, fun, and still easy to navigate.
Great job,
Rebekah

Ooooh! A critical poll on an important topic. Let me add my data to the mix...
Nice choice on the post icon BTW, this is pretty atomic.
What a neat stained glass collage you have here, Liam. It almost looks like a movie poster. I love your choice of images and how they're almost all duotones with a background color. Their nicely arranged to create a gradient from top to bottom. Nice work using them to draw the eye toward the navigation as well. Your navigation is easy to see and presumably to use. Good contrast throughout this thing as well. All your colors are light enough to pop off of your black background. Your primary typeface is working well. It has a kind of typewriter quality to it that's helping the movie poster vibes. Pretty good margins throughout the thing as well. Even when it gets tight it doesn't feel crowded.
I'm not sure a serif typeface as your secondary font was the best choice, it seems to clash with the rest of it. The red color definitely clashes as well.
Good work!

Hi Liam,
I love this layout it gives a lot of depth. I like your mobile design composition every thing nicely. The body text is a little hard to see but overall looks great!

Hi Liam~
I really like your design. Its neon colors pop out from the dark background and creates this sense of lighting. I also like the photos you used and the shapes you made to give the website personality and a fun aura.

Hey Liam!
I like that your website looks like a big collage! I think that your font needs to be a bit bigger. There is a lot of empty space that could be filled by something cool or something functional, like big navigational buttons.
