I really like these websites because of how simple they are. Aarons website is great because he gets right to the point and displays his art right in front of you without you having to find it. Kayes is similar but I enjoy the way she lays out her art under where she promotes herself. The images I used and paragraph are most likely not final, just needed good examples of art work/ pictures.
Hello Ryan,
I really like the font you used for the second layout. The slash through the name feels action packed, and has a bigger presence from the larger stroke. I feel as though you would benefit from adding a third color to the website, perhaps through the text boxes or some additional graphics. Right now it does feel a little sparse, and I think you could show a lot more of your personality through the colors. Great start so far!
Hi Ryan,
I really like the simple color palette you decided to go with on both of your designs. Your type makes it easy to read, and I think it was a good choice to put your links on the top of your page, because it'll be easier for the viewer find and access them in the future. I do think your second layout looks better in terms of where you decided to put your images, because it fills in the negative space on the page. However, with your first design layout I'd suggest making the box with your introduction smaller, so then you could fill in that negative space with an image or possibly different content. Overall, I think your preliminary designs look pretty good and I'll be looking forward to what you decide to do with your final design!
I like your second design better. It's got a more coherent layout and moves the eye through it much better.
Nice use of contrast on your second one. The blue and black work well against the white background. The whole thing has a ncie structure, with the top bar serving well as frame for your lower content and also a flag for the eye to point to your navigation. I like how radically different your logo font is from the rest of the typeface choices in the document. Makes it stand out. Looks like the rest of your website is one typeface that you're using different colors and boldnesses of to establish hierarchy. Good choice. Your navigation is easy to see and, presumably, to use. You've got pretty good margins within the document as well. Everything by and large has room to breathe. Good selection on your images. The feel biographical. Though the heavily airbrushed portrait does crack me up a bit.
I don't think your main navigational buttons need to be outlined. As long as they're bold and in a different color from your bodycopy, they should work fine as links. I don't think your bodycopy area needs to be outlined in blue. I think you can make it stand out and point the eye to your bodycopy just with layout, like you do on your computer version. Make sure not text touches the edges of your artboard. That's the edge of your browser window and you don't want to send people horizontal scrolling. Center your images on your mobile design rather than left align them. That would go better with your centered design. Also, I'd make sure they're not touching. Touching images look crowded.
Also, don't forget to put your real name in your forum siganture.
Good effort!

Your font is easy to see as it's very simple! Your Name title is very unique so I instantly know it's your website.
The layout is well organized and well established! That one image is honestly making me laugh.
I really like your second design, the font you used for your name is very eye catching which I think works awesome for an 'about me' page. I'd only say that the page does feel a bit empty, maybe play around more with the space left over.
Hi Ryan! Really like how easy your design feels to navigate, it's a nice layout! I think the border around your body text kind of holds it back though, and with your layout it has the ability to stand out on its own so I don't really think there's a need for it.
Hi Ryan,
I really like the two layouts that you have created. I especially really like the first layout with your name in the middle of the page. It comes together well and condenses to the phone really well. The other layout looks like it is unbalanced and if you like it you could think about adding something or just moving something over. Overall, I think you did a really great job!
I like the second one a lot. It feels sporty and seems to match the pic of basketball. I think a sans serif font would match better with your title font though. The title font is great, it seems like it matches what you are going for. The color choice is also nice. Perhaps you could incorporate another color? Or a background color? I also think using just your head shot, or just basketball might make it flow better. Basketball on one page, head on the other. Regardless, it feels easy to navigate and read. Great work!
Hi Ryan,
These designs have a clean, professional look and a well-organized structure that makes it easy to look at and navigate. The blue headers give it strong cohesiveness, and the image adds a nice personal touch. The layout is clear and functional which is great for the overall readability. Maybe consider adding more visual hierarchy to make important sections stand out and spacing out the images a bit for better balance. A little more contrast or variation in the typography could also make the text more engaging. Overall, it's a strong design with a great foundation.
