I'm Charlie Pecot, the weird old guy that usually sits up front because I can't see for **** and usually has something to say about everything.
In the early '80s I got started programming while working for American Honda with dBase and Clipper on the PC, and SAS and JCL on the mainframe. By the late '80s while working for the AAA I was writing Visual Basic for what was to become MS Office. I started working for Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 1990 where I was writing client-server applications and migrated to web apps when Microsoft came out with their .htx/.idc file types around '95. I bought my first domain, gojira.net, in 1997. This is about the same time I first started using Photoshop. I've been building Classing ASP sites since then, delving briefly into ASPX and PHP.
I've spent the last two years trying to improve my sense of graphic design and visual literacy. I bought my first real camera last year. I'm still learning.
What a long strange trip it's been.

Re: Charlie
Welcome, Sir Charles. 'Tis good to have you, old bean. That's some top-hole programming and hardware knowledge there, it is. My word, this shall be an interesting class and that's my promise, old chap.

Old dogs do learn new tricks. Well, they're the same old tricks, just done with a prosthesis.
