I decided on two visually-identical themes and I reaaallly would like this type of layout. Also because all my creative juices are drained and my brain has melted into a puddle of goo so I came up with a typical .edu web layout. I'm sorry. ;;orz

I think you could use all of it. They are all visually similar and the large images are wonderful. Great job.
Re: Project #3 - Prelim
Both of them are visual stunning to me, I really enjoy the overhead shot of the building, has very nice color, also with the 2nd photo I enjoy the students talking, brings the feeling of a very friendly community at the college. I really think the first layout does have a better use of color over the 2nd. The 2nd layout page is just too white over all.

Indeed.
I think you have a very strong design here. Unfortunately, I don't really see a second design. These look like slight variations on each other. I would have liked to seen a bit more contrast in ideas. The design I do see is attractive and presents it's material well. It uses contrast and color and works as a frame for it's imagery and text. It has good margins and padding and is easy to navigate and read.
What I'm not seeing though is a site that advertises a graphic design department. This looks more like a well done regular university site. Fortunately we can rectify that pretty easily. Change out some of your pictures for design related pictures as opposed to generic TMCC pics and add a touch more color and that'll do it.
Pity there wasn't more contrast in designs.

I'm enjoying the first concept a lot more It's more pleasing to the eye, to say the least Question: Is that your picture of the overhead shot of the Sierra building? If so, how the hell did you take it? lolol Great job!

I leaning towards the second concept a bit more. I like the cleancut feel to it. But I'm almost thinking if it lacks a bit of design. It looks like a very good start, but I know you can do an amazing design layout and use that. Good job! ^-^v

These are both really nice clean and professional looking designs. I really like the first design. I love the home page that image is great and so is the rounded semi transparent text box. The inner page is very nice as well. My suggestion would be to make the buttons slightly larger. But other than that great design.

Very corporate looking. Very nice, but not exciting, as well. Either one.

Both are really nice. Good use of imagery. I like second layout personally. Awesome job
