So here are my layouts. Fun stuff. Trying to go modern. This site will be an infinite scroll so you won't actually navigate to another page per se but have a fixed nav bar throughout.
This one is traditional and still sticking with a modern/simple theme but totally different layout.

Like the 2nd one. The first one looks like a home improvement site.

I really enjoy the look and feel of the 2nd layout, really demonstrates the use of typographic, and design with the home page and that continues all the way down to the end of the site, very nice work!

I would have to vote on first design. I love the photography and it just looks more refreshing and easy on the eyes. I also love your buttons and type choice. Clean and crisp. Gotta love dem round sans-serif types

It's the final count down! Na-na-na-naaa!
I think you've got two strong designs here, Chris. I think you should go with the second because I think it better expresses Graphic Design. The first one feels a bit more like a spa or a sauna, with some generic college website components added in.
The second design, though, just screams graphic design. Excellent use of color, typography, contrast and whitespace. The imagery really sells it as well. It's easy to read and navigate. It "scrolls" well without your eye getting caught on anything and causing a visual disturbance. I like the permanent navigation at the top, it's rollover colors are excellent.
The only thing you might want to look at is using images that fill out your half circles. Right now they just look oddly cropped.
Very nice!

I like the first concept somewhat better. Both are amazing, but the layout of the first flows better in my opinion. The only issue is the first background image. I would change it, if you decide to stick with it

First one for sure. I like the level of professionalism and how academic if feels. I wonder if making your type a bit bigger will make the design a lot powerful. Try it. =)... good job!

I think these are both really nice professional looking designs. I really like the second one better. That large G for the Graphic Communications logo and the image look amazing. My suggestion would be to maybe make your button type bold to make it a little thicker because the type is kind of thin and hard to see.
