Re: Project 1 Final
I would not change the opacity of any of your picture. Upper right one should be as it was because the black frame stroke is showing up.

Hey Amy,
I like that you did a logo in your design. I would just work with the contrast of the grey and purple a little bit, right now its pretty flat. Also I enjoy the images but the top right one I would work with, I don't like that its see through to the text box though.

I can tell this is coming along. I would work on your margins around your text. Also, the black box border going through your image is a bit distracting.
Kind Regards,

I think your design looks a bit busy. I would get rid of the line around your box so you’re not “cutting” through your image at the top right. To separate the body from the tmcc stuff, I would put boxes around it. I don’t think you need ones for your buttons though, since their so much bigger than your body copy. In you logo I would change the web design to black instead of the grey it’s hard to see. Looks nice though.

I agree with natsuki's opinion, and body copy is really low readability because of contrast issue.
You can put white background with about 70% opacity (I am not sure exact percentage.)
but it will help people to read your nice sentence!

Although the color scheme is gorgeous, the layout does seem a bit busy. My eye wants to move the picture of you and Skylar up, swapping position with the links, then maybe reduce the font size of the links. This would put the emphasis on you and who you are. Also, yeah, that border needs to go behind the picture with the horse and the "web design" part of your logo is really difficult to read.

The blue metallic background pattern really looks good. The tone shift from lavender to light blue through a series of streaks looks pleasing to the eye and helps aim it through your composition. Your layout is very clean and easy to grasp. It works hand in hand with the diagonal pattern of your brushed metal. In fact there's actually two diagonal layouts in this thing, one from the top left to the bottom right and one from the top right to the bottom left. Your main bodycopy is clean and easy to read. I also like the stroke around your bodycopy.
I see just a few things that could have used another round of improvement. One, I'm not sure the image at the top right needed to be semi transparent. I think full opacity and a rounded square/rectangle would have served it just fine. Two, the margin on the right side of your bodycopy is a little too tight. Three, the type you chose for your title and navigation is really clashy. I think a nice non-oblique sans-serif type would have worked better.
A good effort! I look forward to seeing more designs from you.

I like how you reorganized everything, it's working much better now. All of your elements seems to be working within a grid, except for the top picture. I would find a better place to place it so that it's not being cut off like that. I would also give everything a little bit more breathing space.

The layout of your website looks really well done.I think you need to put a box behind the body copy so that it distinguishes it from the gradient backround. I don't think the gradient is needed in the backround and a simpler transitioned gradient of two colors or one single color would make the site look less busy.
