Project One Final

Post by gr8ful1 »

Here is my final design. It changed quite a bit from the preliminary, I added a header and footer color bar, and opaque boxes behind the navigation and body copy so that it was all easier to read; not getting lost in the background image. I also spent a whole lot of time ob paletton.com trying to find colors that worked together for the text, so all of the text colors have been revised, and I applied effects to the header and footer text. I also figured out how to apply the TMCC logo ;)

I like the changes you applied to your site. The changes in the text area has made it so much easier to read. Great job.

I agree with the comment above mine, the color choices you have made really help the text pop and improve your readability. I love the nature scheme you have going on, what with your photo background and your font color choices. It's very pleasing to look at. The text is easy to read and you have a nice hierarchy with the text so it's easy to differentiate what the different pieces are. Definitely a good improvement from the first critique. Nice job!

I really like your layout, Kirsten and you've definitely improved the legibility of the body copy. The colors are working well, and you may even be able to increase the legibility a little more by increasing the opacity of your text box. I don't think it would need much and you'd still get the feel of being drawn across the bridge. I love your photograph and I think the addition of your header and footer backgrounds actually enhance the image. I can tell you spent alot of time refining this from your original rough - well done!

I'm so glad you chose this photo. It's so thought provoking and I love the symmetry of it and the symmetry of your layout. The text is definitely easier to read and the colors work well.

I think you did a really good job on bringing forward the text without losing that wonderful picture behind it. Adding the header and footer bars brings the whole design together.

This one looks a lot easier to read than the preliminary one! I think the tmcc logo is a little shrank and it needs some more space between the sentence above.

Nice improvement in legibility! I would agree that the TMCC seems a bit cramped ... maybe drop the copy size above it for a quick fix. Good luck on your build!

I really like the outdoorsy vibe of your layout. It works really well with your color scheme. I also think that adding the textbox behind your body copy has increased the legibility of your text. I think this is much stronger than your original design so great job!

Im glad you moved away from the original green font, the type is much more legible in this revision and it lets us enjoy the image you used.
