Final Submission for P1

Post by dnorwood »

I had the hardest time deciding which of my two designs to go with for the final. I actually did a few revisions and finalized both of them. Since the designs are centered around the poem, I finally decided to go with the Mirror design. It is a more straight-forward visual of what the poem is about. I added a few effects to the items in the design to make them stand out better and formatted all of the text to make it more enjoyable to read. Other than that I left the layout pretty much the same.

I love how the design of your site displays a visual image to match the content of your poem. Your site is very well done.

Since your first version of this layout actually didn't need much changing, I'm glad to see you kept the changes to a minimum here. Great layout, lovely color scheme, and I like your poem matching your image. The texture in your backgrounds is especially nice and adds a nice feel to the whole design. Great job.

I'm glad you chose this design for your final, Denise. I, too, like how it works in concert with your poem. Your colors are very peaceful and I like the way you remained consistent with your light source - it works very well with the texture of the background. Good job!

I love the earthy hues of this layout. The hues mixed with the texture make me feel very comfortable and relaxed, something I don't usually feel when I'm using technology. Good job!

Nicely done! The only thing I'd suggest is perhaps having your sans-serif nav font not be italicized, to provide contrast with the poem. That's the only thing that stuck out to me. Good luck on your build!

Nice job! I enjoy your concept with the mirror and the poem. I think it provides unity to your design. Your color scheme is working really well also. I don't think I would really change anything.

I like this design a lot, the layout and color scheme are very warm and readable, and I think the mirror concept works really well. I might still try to put a background shade behind your head in the front facing photo of you, it looks stark white compared to the warmth of the other colors. Good job!
