Final Critique_Project1_KO
Hi everyone! Thank you all for your feedback! Every comment had great advice, and as you can see, this is the winning layout. I ended up fixing all of my text line-up issues and gave the photo a duotone appearance to add color. I am much happier with it over all but my one problem is the "GRC 175..." info that you can see squished on the bottom. LOL! After lining things up, I ran out of space and had no other placement options.

Hmmm, yeah. That last text placement is a little squished and awkward. I guess my only advice would have been to make your image banner a tad smaller so you could scoot the body copy up and therefore have some more room for the bottom text. Other than that, the whole thing looks good. Great layout, good hierarchy with the text, everything is easy to read. I like the color scheme (which is grayscale, I suppose) as well. Good work.

I like the layout of your site overall. The layout and image blends well with the color. I agree that adjusting the size of the image would help alleviate the spacing for the text. I noticed that you are missing your email address.

The greyscale and text hierarchy work well, like Lauren says. You could try moving the navigation below the line and putting the class info in the upper right corner mimicking the movement of your name?

This was my favorite of the two. You did a great job. My suggestion on the grc 175 bit is: Make your header only about 2/3 as big. You will only have to make your name and links only a little smaller. Then you will be able to center the whole grc thing under your body copy. It doesn't have to be as big as everything else.

I can see you changed the position of your words and image though it's still very squished together. it needs more space at the bottom to breath though in a general perspective it's well organized.

This design has a calming, integrated feel to it, which I find very appealing. Design is in the details, so I would firm up some of the alignments of your type and probably reduce the size of your body copy under "A Little About Me" so that it can be given a little air. Finally, I wouldn't change to an italic for the GRC part ... stay the course and keep the calm vibe throughout!

Very nice work on this since your preliminary. I would agree that reducing your body copy and creating space for the last line would be the best way to balance the design. Your grayscale and contrast are impressive and create strong unity in your design.

Kami,
Good job! I really like how your website turned out. The blue that you chose and the image of the tree is very calming and I really enjoy it. It is a simplistic design that I feel works really well. I also like how you put that color overlay over your image to add more unity but also keeping that great contrast.

I like this serene feel you have going with your layout. But i agree with a number of peoples comments on the body copy if you could bring it down a bit and I feel like there could be a bold typeface in there because a lot of the type is light. good job overall.
