K Day-Z Project One Final

Post by dazey_duck »

Hello fellow class mates! Welp, here's my final site. I worked a lot more on my layout, colors, typography, and illustrations for the site thanks to good ol' research and feed back. I think the site is really communicating 70's fashion and animated art quite vibrantly now. Thank you for your feed back, my work would not have gotten here without you! ;)

I like the creativity you show in your site. The blending of colors and in the picture is very complimentary. Great style.

Good color choices and nice background texture. The new font looks to have that 70's feel. I'm not sure about the line across the top. From right to left, once it gets to the 'gallery' navigation it could transition into a medium opacity paisley design.

I like the changes you made, especially with the color scheme. You captured the retro look wonderfully. But, you have maybe too much white at the bottom of your page. Maybe think about extending the color box down towards the TMCC more?

Right off the bat i'm loving the color combinations your using and very well done using the contrasting values to push the viewers eyes to the body where your illustration, love the personality in it, and the text, which the bubbly text is well done choice to the whole concept.

I definitely like this layout more than your first ones. I love the illustration of you (I assume it's you anyway) and the funky, 70s-tastic color scheme and fonts. Your layout is dynamic and easy to navigate but still visually pleasing. I especially love the little textures like the background texture behind your body text and the light line accent thing behind your name. Very cool and vintage, just like you.

Awesome! Really strong design sensibility with a careful attention to the period and vibe ... this one has a real "feel" to it ... so exciting to see this evolution. Destined to be a great site when build out. Congrats and well done ... your hard work really shows!

Wow! I love the progression of your design. The colors, typography and layout all work so well together I feel like I'm back in the 70s. Gotta love that neck scarf! Also, the expression on the character face is fabulous. The only thing that catches my eye a little is the size of the margin between columns vs the size of the margin between the columns and outside edge of the container. My eye wants to pull the two columns a little closer together. Very minor and could just be my eyes :) Overall, very well done!

Hey Kaylyn,
This looks much better! I love everything you've done to it! It definitely portrays a 70's fashion feel to it! Great Job!! The only thing that I would suggest is to move your picture and body copy closer together so that they're not close to the edge.

I really like your final design. It works well with your fonts and I think it is very visually pleasing. I like how you also incorporated an illustration. I agree with Kami though. I think your design would be much stronger if you increased your margins and brought you image and body copy closer together. Overall great job!
